All weapons dont need customization - some can have and some dont.
Maybe some line of weapons just have variants but arent customizable or only slightly customizable while others can be highly customizable.
The thing is - will it all be skill based so once you level up in the required skill you have access to the related components
OR
- You have one skill for each weapon type so once you skill into it you can add your components for that weapon to even further maximize advantages eg. - weapon damage, dispersion or kick |

I can imagine it being like the weapon editor in Ghost Recon Future Soldier, the game probably wasn't that great but that was a cool feature. |

I'm still holding out for weapon charges similar to eve. I'd imagine it'd be somewhat like activating a module that only affects the weapon(s) you have charges for including vehicle turrets. That would probably limit vehicle ammo, though, and I'm not sure how we would resupply vehicle ammunition unless logistics vehicles were given the ability to resupply.
I think it'd be pretty neat-o at least. |

Are you really willing to listen to all the whining that would happen from people who's weapons don't get the same ability to customize as everyone else?
Anyhow, I'd like my sniper scope to play **** (starts with p end with n) videos when there's no enemies visible... make the lonely evenings up in the boonies less boring.
Hey, more seriously, I like the idea of swapping scopes, or at least settings. Heck, maybe even something to cut out glare during bright conditions. |

It would make sense to work like this.
You buy one base weapon, when you skill in to level one of whatever that is, it would be the equivalent of the militia/standard level weapon.
Lets take AR for instance, skill to level 2, Bigger Clip or Better Ammo (Breach), skill to level 3, GEK frames, red dot sight single shot or burst, silencers, skill to level 4, weighted barrels for damage, scopes, front grip for control, skill to level 5 level 5, Duvolle frame, underbarrel grenade launchers, underbarrel rail cannon
proficiency would get other specialist addons/perks, reload time reduction at 3, then taped magazines or something simillar.
once you've selected that weapon you'd like to fit, put it on, and it'll give you a price and automatically name it from the parts you've used, and you can just continue to buy the weapons without worrying about the parts induvidually. This can be applied in every weapon and certain addons would obviously exclude other ones.
So say I got Duvolle Frame, Taped Clip, Red Dot SIght, Single Shot , it would be set on that character as "Duvolle Tactical w/ RDS" for like 70k isk.
Even more micromanagement with rebuying the actual parts parts is not needed tbh |
