you select your weopen in the fittig menu and it would look like a normal dropsuit/vehicle fitting screen except its for a gun
here u can add dmg mods/different ammo/sights/grenade launcher/foregrip/bipod/barrel varients/ suppresors/laser sights/under barrel nanite launcher to revive people from a distance.
also camo for weapon

...The not so distant hypothetical future...because you made so much noise over this feature...You: "RAWRRRARRR I got the modular weapons fitting bug again...! CCP IS GARBAGE RAWRRR! "
CCP Helpfuldev: "Make sure you exit out of the weapons fittings into the suit fittings then into the operation menu THEN into the mercenary hangar...SLOWLY. If you are in game, then you must go to the suit selection screen after the suit fittings window, then the overview map. Exiting out of the weapons fittings straight to the menu may cause glitching. If you are trying to re-modularize your weapons it is best to make a variety of fittigs ahead of time and select from them instead of 'fitting on the fly' "
CCP Helpfuldev: "Also you should note that it may take up to a minute for each edit to refresh all of your data as the hierarchical arrangement of fittings inside of fittings inside of fittings requires us to 'Inception' the database with some queued up SQL write scripts. When you edit a single module within a weapon within a dropsuit it must filter through 8 different key fields of data libraries that are 15-20MB each. On top of that it must do a pass/fail check against the fitting requirements based on the skills of your character and the dropsuit's and weapons PG/CPU. Under some scenarios, some fail checks will appear to timeout client-side, but as long as you patiently wait between edits on these weapons you shouldn't have a problem. We assure you this is state of the art stuff, we use
hamsters on wheels and everything."
You: "CCP WHY CANT I COPY MY WEAPONS BETWEEN DROPSUITS!!"
CCP: "The only way you can get a modular weapon on a dropsuit is to load the custom frame first and build it from the ground up. Copying a modular loadout from the weapon is currently unstable and can lead to 'broken' fittings slots on dropsuits which will lead to disconnects. As long as you smoothly move through the dropsuit-weapon-loadout-modular-fittings-window smoothly waiting for each change to refresh you should be okay." Our QA/QC team is showing about a 8-10 minute 'build-time' on each new modular weapon that you are editing. Congratulation on this exciting new feature and we hope you enjoy the 3,192 different valid modular weapons combinations! "
You: "WTF!!! I just bought 35 Thales Precision Mounts in my modular SMG screen and it still is saying I have only two!!! Give me my 22 million isk back!"
CCP: "Like we've been saying...if you drink to much caffeine while trying to fit your weapons, you may end up with some messy information client-side. This is your fault. you should take a warm bath and relax. Your mounts are being delivered and your money is in a safe place. You probably loaded the mount after a change that invalidated your fitting without refreshing. The mount won't fit. Your gun can only hold so much tool! Stop compensating for something...Restarting will correctly load your library."
I'm wondering if modular weapons will be like the T3 weapons of Dust...
