My response to game sound (weapons):

Sound (weapon)

• BF3 Awesome - Great sound. Most of the weapons seem to have echo and when mixed with the suppression effects can be very immersive.


• COD okay - The sounds lack echo and their is no suppression, so the sound quality is somewhat diminished. Though, I still like them because the sound is very rewarding when you kill some one and yet keeps you on your toes when being shot at. if they were added in then the sound would be more up to BF's standards.


• Dust Awesome - Most of the sounds in the game are not very satisfying, frightening nor do they really get me ampped. The only one I can think of is the Forge gun. and maybe the OB's. Most sounds sound like wet noodles

I could care less about graphics, sound quality or types of weapons. I want a deep immersive game. I have tried but dont like or play COD multiplayer or BF. I enjoy FPS but the repetitive nature of the same map, tired strategies and no point but to kill for bragging rights is what killed those games for me. I could care less about my or your KDR. I came upon EVE quite by accident a month ago, spend a few days reading up on its history which was rich with the gaming experience i am looking for. But im a console gamer only so here I am at DuST. And if DUST stays as is COD in spacesuits then im out but i believe they will expand more into a world like EVE and that will keep me for life.

I am not. I see BF3 as an outstanding game.

Oh I also like how dust forces you to work in a team. I can lone wolf on cod and dominate. I can lone wolf on bf3 and do pretty well and I can lone wolf on dust and die. I hope that they will stop nerfing everything and not give in to the requests to add heavier shields and armor to everything because the game will lose the the team aspect and be just another run and gunner.

I do wonderfully lone wolfing in this game.. another point of your inadequate cerebral function.

CoD: Really fast paced
Dust: Slower than CoD
BF3: FIne balance

Well BF3 just came out for free on play station plus so Im going to give it a shot
as for DUST
its just one irritating bug, issue, lag, nerfing, inconsistency after another
other then that the game seems alright
ive started and stopped playing the game a few times since early beta, to me there is a lot right but just too much wrong with it

If you are trying BF3 out, then I suggest you remember bullet drop is in that game. Also, remember to adjust your play style. There are no shields in BF3 so whoever gets the drop and wins the gunfight wins it. Period. They are two different games with no similarities at all other than shooting people in the face. So in other words; BF3 is like most every other FPS. Whoever gets the drop wins. Like it should be.

They pretty similar to me
1. set up character
2. run around and try to shoot people
3. die lots
4. repeat
Dust gives me no sense of belonging to a larger universe, no indication that "i made a difference" or any concept at all that they talk about. If I was not told about these these I'd have no, I still have no idea about how any of my efforts in dust made any difference to anything at all to anything.
I dont play many multiplayer shooters but id have to say bf3 craps all over dust in almost ever aspect that is important in a game, I dont really give a crap about OB it does not have any impression of real to me, why do i need WP to get an OB if its apparently player controlled, wouldn't the player just keep OBing the crap out of the enemy as often and as fast as he could?
BF3 is just so much more complete, destructive environment is awesome and fun
The only thing I prefer in dust is multiple character loadouts, I can only have one of each type in bf3
I'd have to say no more dust for several more months
