You only get points if an enemy dealt the damage. Also, there's a certain amount of WP you can earn in a period of time. I'm not sure if you're hitting that or what the cap is. |

A certain amount of WP you can earn in a set period of time? That was my guess as to what was going on, but I wasn't sure. The devs should have known better than to do that. Do they realize that people in this game (and in life in general) are driven by incentives? When you put a limit on the number of points you can get in a set amount of time, you're just encouraging players to not repair the armor of other players.
But I wouldn't criticize without alternative solutions (blinding simple ones at that):
1. Remove the limit on WP per set amount of time, change the reward from +25 to +10. 2. Remove the limit on WP per set amount of time, change the reward from +25 to +2 or +5, increase the rate at which WP is gained.
So that's it. Remove the limit, give less points. Incentives regained. |

Nah, I'm for leaving it in. The alternative is that they take it out completely. They did that. You still cannot get WP for repairing an installation or vehicle, and there is no WP gain for shield transportation.
Some guys abused it and farmed high WP for orbital strikes. |

I average around 450 to 700 WP a game running around with a few kills and mainly healing for triage points . I was about to make a post about this as well! Sometimes i get a ton of points maybe 75 to 100 from 1 heavy! Then the WP just stops for a minute or two then i get another large burst of WP.
I think it is kinda silly. Instead of cutting off our WP just give us a lower amount instead of thinking the game is broken half the time. |

All a lower amount of WP would do is make those exploiting it need more people doing it or more time. If there's no limit to WP from triage, I will have a team mate continually damage themselves and heal them while dropping orbitals and cackling madly. |

So how do you feel about encouraging triage farming for SP? (WP = SP after you 'cap' for the week) |

I had an understanding that it required a enemy to damage the person you are healing to get WP. Being able to get points off people damaging themselves is just silly...... |

It is. Last I checked, you could also get WP by team killing someone on your team, then using a nanite injector to revive. |

They seem to have fixed this.

No, sir, I don't like it.
I think you can limit the effectiveness of farming by reducing the amount of WP gained. What's this about capping for the week? I don't even know what that part in parentheses is referring to. |

I guess I would assume that triage WP could only be gained from damage sustained by enemies. If that's not currently how it works, then forget it. If that's not the case, then that's the first thing the devs need to work on: Triage WP can only be gained from friendly units damaged by enemy fire/grenades. |

There are ways to limit farming, one just needs to think of the right conditions for legitimate WP gain and adjust the game rules accordingly. |

There's a limit to how much SP you can effectively earn in a week normally. After getting about 190k (without active booster) through matches you're "capped" and can only generate SP equal to your WP. You still get normal Passive SP.
edit:
Well, on a map with supply depots you could get some heavies and guys with repair tools to lay into each other without actually killing (or at least depleting clones) and change up periodically who's repairing and all for the duration of a game. only limit being the time. |

Hmm I`m sure I heard on here that the player you are healing needs to do damage (in a certain amount of time) in order to get points for it. My in game experience bares that out as well. |

Not need, but it is just one more way you can get some WP. You will get WP if he kills someone soon after, or if you are repping him. |

To the earlier reply about getting WP for killing and then reviving a TM: This doesn't work very well, because killing a TM can result in -50 points, and then reviving gives you +60. That +10 points gained, but you could get +25 for just Repairing an Assault Sniper. :P |
