Being isk positive is very easy as long as you don't run adv/proto gear in every match. The bpo's help, but the regular stuff is cheap and doesn't add much to the cost. Also, invest in skills like circuitry/engineering and weapon upgrade for cpu. any skill that helps your cpu/pg mean you can fit more or better things on a militia/standard dropsuit and save some isk.
Save the expensive gear for special moments unless you are one of the few good players that can run it without isk problems. I know i'm not one of them, so i run std fits most of the time until i see a tank, then its proto because ive saved up enough isk that i don't care if i die. |

Try deleting all your expensive fits. If their there you'll be tempted on using them in pub matches. I'm still using assault ll suits and starter fits. Makes the game way more challenging and all the more sweeter when you take out the black suits. Plus its good practice for when you do use ur good fits. |

My record atm is ~350,000 ISK in a match. Lots of heavies died to my laser. |

Almost all of these tips I don't follow, and I'm running an 80k suit... still putting up positive numbers... all I can say is to have fun. |

Best way for me was to put the cost of the entire suit at the end of the fitting description. So I if a die a couple times in my 80k fitting I could change over to my super cheap 1.4k fitting and grind a little bit. If anything I sometimes play better with my cheap suits because I'm not too cautious and worried about dieing. Plus there is nothing better than killing duvolles dudes when your fit is 1/50th the cost. |

I have all BPO's except for locus grenades, codewish tact AR, complex damage mod. One DS cost me about 12k, and i average 250k a game.
p.s. I'm a Logi.
Edit: i also invested my SP wisely. Shield control is at lvl 4, armor, arm/shld repair is at level 5, weaponry is at 5, AR profenivy 3, sharpshooter pro 3. There are others but it depends on your playstyle. |

Unless there is something I'm missing, wouldn't 2 deaths without being picked up by a medic turn the a proto/meta 5 match into negative ISK territory?
Any thoughts?
I remain 15mil+ isk positive by being a tight a$$ and not wasting money on proto. I'm happy (for now) with my mag suits and cheap a$$ equipment/modules. I've managed so far and although I do have the skills to use the higher tier gear....most of the time it's type 2 suits . If you can't afford to lose it.....don't use it. If you are losing excessive amounts of isk per match from lost gear then you have yourself to blame bro |

Any thoughts? Use good gear and dont die..... Or, use very cheap gear and dont die..... My b-series fit (good gear) has about 670 total Hp but costs 60k isk per life. If i dont die with it, i have the potential of making a ton of money per round. My raven assault type 1 suit (cheap fit) has roughly 500 total Hp and only costs 9k - 15k (depending on weather i use the exile or LR). Granted, i use a lot of BPO's on it so if you replaced them with isk varients it would cost close to 15k - 20k per suit, but thats still pretty good for a suit with 500 hp. (lol its armor tanked as well). Really it comes down to just not dying. The best way i can describe it is to play as a *****. If your not fighting to hold an objective, then there shouldn't be any problem with running away. If your in a three on one situation, kill what you can but run as soon as your start taking damage. Turn the fight into a defensive fight (on your side) and you will almost always win. Playing defensively isn't always as rewarding as playing offensively, but the payouts are much more consistant.
Exactly, you can fire a couple of rounds at some guys and head around a corner and wait, then when they show their faces, POP. Played this way a few times, especially when outgunned 4 to 1. It doesn't always work out in your favor, but more often than not, you can pull just one away to come looking for you. |

if you have to ask this on the forums than you're going to need an entire guide and training on how to not lose your suits and vehicles man.
what you can do is start up an alt to farm isk with militia fits and then transfer it to your main. i dunno how friendly you and your ceo/directors are- but you can do this by using your corp to transfer.
that should help you stay positive in isk until you get a little better at staying alive.. |

Tactical awareness.
Start thinking about what you going to do next, before you do it, and before you know it, you'll start to die a lot less.

its simple. we kill the black suits!
The more expensive gear you kill the better your payout. :) Worth emphasising that it's not the amount you, personally destroy that matters.
The value of gear being CALLED IN is what matters. If you kill a black suit and it gets revived, that does nothing for you, because they don't have to call in another one.
Killing a black suit means the person wearing it has to call in another. That raises the pot for everyone in the battle.
Also, calling in a tank or Dropship or non-Starter LAV means everyone's payout is bigger, so taking out enemy vehicles should also be a priority when you can do so, and when you have reason to believe they'll replace their lost gear. |

I die pretty much the same amount in my A-Series (2 complex dmg mods and the regular stuff) than I do in my fully BPO Raven Assault.
Easiest way to stay ISK positive: Cheap suit: Pub matches. To grind ISK. Your best suit: Corp matches. To win battles. |

I'm starting to sound like a broken record, but make sure to pump up your passive skills before running more expensive gear. When people find out that your merc is squishy and expensive, you might as well have a target painted on your backside. |

yup, especially if you have a super suit. 1v1 i can kill 90% of the people in this game, it gets a bit tricky if its more then 2v1 though. Too many variables to consider, which is why running away or "falling back" is a good way to even things out, it turns it into a 1v1 only with a timelimit as to when the next guy gets there. |
