I don't know, I have had someone steal my "****** tank" due to me getting caught on the call in. I tried the same thing (minus hate mail) to get my tank back. He proceeds to drive it straight into the enemy team and gets it destroyed in 3 minutes. Now what the driver didn't understand, was there were modules he could have activated to keep the tank alive. Second, it was a railgun tank I had called in to deal with the enemy tank. A militia fit tank can still cost several hundred thousand ISK and still be extremely effective, but if the person who "saves" your tank has no idea how to regulate modules, understands that not all tanks are blaster tanks, and survivability of a tank isn't regulated to just rolling around murdering everyone, then that investment high or low, is completely wasted. |

Exactly. I'm pissed if you take my tank either way, but if you can actually successfully drive it around and use it, then I'm not that mad. It's when somebody takes the tank and drives it right into the enemy's most fortified position expecting to win because tanks are totally OP against assaut rifles, right? And then proceeds to get slammed by the 3 guys with darksides hiding behind the rocks that I ******* knew were right there. But just to be clear, OP is a faget who doesn't understand the **** invested into tanks.
Exactly what I am talking about. If you call in the tank, you want to protect your investment and you are probably aware of what threats you need to be on the look out for. Whenever I see someone "save" a tank, they almost always drive straight into tank traps and get obliterated because they don't pay attention to hardeners, reppers, NEVER aim at AV fits, or even identify what type of turret they have on the thing.
Edit: I do agree that if the person drives well I don't mind. Even if I am in one of the turrets I still keep the tank if it survives. Also I would rather a ****** on my team ruin my tank then a skill driver on the other team get in it. |

had mine stolen same as everyone else, faults mine for not paying attention and getting in it right away
Not saying it is anyone's fault or that you should care about taking it. Even good players get caught from time to time, e.g STB always going to the same spot to call in their tanks on a specific map and watching them do it. I always prefer someone on my team taking my tank over the enemy.
I don't quite understand the hostility towards people venting frustration on your part though. |
