Not until the propensity modelling for P2W purchases is complete.
Or never.
Seems strange that something so relatively simple hasn't been implemented. |

Really you know so much that you think it is simple so tell me what game you developed that gives you such insight so I can go check it out or do you work for CCP as a DEV and just didn't tell us.
People like you are just a pain in the ass always saying oh this is simple and easy how come you haven't done it yet and you have Zero idea what's really involved in the coding of the game itself so here have a cup of STFU Mister forum warrior |

Amazing that people from gaming companies might actually frequent OTHER games company forums. Is your mind blown?
It seems that you are being the only forum warrior type here. Derailing this thread, engaging in personal abuse. I would say you are quite the hypocrite Mr Calgoth Reborn.

A dust to Eve market would not be simple by any means, and creating such a thing at this time would essentially reopen dust to eve money transfers, something CCP has already said they would not do at this time.
A dust only market is probably more likely, but really, what's the point when 90% of all items can only be bought or sold at a fixed price from CCP already, so why would you ever pay more for something that that.

Looks like its going to be controlled by "CLONE supply" so its controlled dust side. Also stops the trillionairs swamping the economy |

We need something much, much simpler than either of those.
I have Krin's ARs, you have Gastun's HMGs. I give you mine, you give me yours. That is all we need, and that is dead simple to implement.
Fricken flash games like Realm of the Mad God have no problem doing it. I can't see why CCP is incapable. |

Because that isn't what they (and we?) want or are targetting, and doing THIS would only take resources away from the actually planned and desired features.

I think you should read the post again. Implementing a full market system with EVE included would destroy Dust 514s currency, much like it did when EVE players could give random Dust players billions of ISK. A simple trading system would be the best thing for now. |

They could at least let us vendor items (NPC sell) for something like 50% of the market value in the next build. That wouldn't take much effort to add, just hate having all this junk in my assets and cant do anything with it. |

Yes, I did read the observation that a full market system WITH EVE INCLUDED (emphasis mine) would destroy Dust's [economy]. You'll note, when you learn to read and comprehend, that at no point did I say that Eve Integration is required at this stage. I also said nothing about needing a full market or economy at this point. in fact, only thing I observed was that swapping things is below the threshold of what CCP should target for in a first attempt at a market, and that it would be a waste of resources. Why a waste? Because it would require mechanics that are plausibly not required at a later stage of the system.

Nonsense. You can easily swap items in EVE Online without requiring a market transaction.
It's a basic, easy to implement feature that would be in use for eternity. And it would be an acceptable stop-gap while CCP takes their usual year or so before implementing a full market.
I can't speak for you, but I hate having a vault full of stuff I can't use when I know a corp mate who could use it right now. |
