This topic may be a slight act in redundancy.
Just a simple new mode...Capture the flag...king of the hill...hide the Quafe scout...last man standing Free for all.
There are new games coming on the market and two issues arise. 1. Veterans are tired of the game play...bored...AFK and watching anything is more fun. 2. noobs get pounded in pub matches unless taken under the wing of vets.
Both groups will easily migrate to a new game. Especially if they are not financially committed to the game.."Well it was free, not like I have to play to justify my $60".
The new FW will not solve problem #2. CCP entertain us...I used to play for fun...now it is to chat with squad members and grind. I beg you to hurry. It doesn't have to make any sense in Eve universe just fun. |

I'm not saying make a halo clone... but even Halo 2 had far more variety. Juggernaut, King of the hill, Capture the Flag, anything! |

since last week, I ask myself: Do I play for fun or because I don't want to get to much behind when the update come in.
I think and understand I do it to grind only.
what will be the next update : FW and more Skirmish.
Will I play for fun or because I still need to grind more isk/SP to be able to conquer stuff in skirmish.

what kill me is the redundancy.
Playing ambush over and over and over than do a skirmish to change mood. Let's do a corp battle then. O well I just waited about 20 minute to do a skirmish without player rewards, screw this I'll make some quick ambush...even better, I'll AFK while cleaning my bike for the summer...

Capture the flag could be excused as training simulators with real clone deaths to show true battle situations.
Or just make it a mode where the flag is data you have to capture and take back to your base but you only have storage room for 1/3rd of the total data so you have to obtain all 3 parts to win. |

Hey, don't you freaking dare discount drones.
There HAS to be a PvPvE Drone mode, where there are neutral, hackable drones, and just totally wild rogue drones that boss through anything in their path. It would add a completely new dynamic to the game and would be god damn insane, having to fight through a horde of defensive drones and enemy forces to hack their drone construction unit, holding off drones as they roll off the assembly line, doing your best to buy time for your allies because you know, if they finish that hack, your enemies are going to be in a world of hurt.
Watch out for those rogue drones though, or clever scouts who drag a few drones after them, only to charge you with a suicide grenade, taking out your shields as drones position to engage.

The only games I can think of that have a reason for it's multiplier modes are the ones in the Assassins Creed series. You don't see Tekken trying to justify time attack mode lol. Separate modes are just for fun, they don't have to have a reason or even make sense, they just have to be fun. |

I want a twist on Skirmish to make it similar to Warhawk's Zones mode. Each null cannon can be hacked to level 1, 2, or 3. The higher level the cannon is hacked to, the more damage it does. The twist is that each base also has a radius around it, and you cannot overlap with an enemy radius. So you may have your cannon hacked to level 2 but it is being blocked from being hacked to level 3 by a nearby enemy cannon, so you must go over there and lower the enemy cannons level so you can expand yours.

No, but in a game like Dust it sort of does need an excuse. If this was a straight up arcade game not trying to be part of a large consistent universe then that'd be fine.
That said, CCP already mentioned they have an excuse to add game modes like CTF and Free For All. It will be like gladiator arenas. Pure sport and Dust and EVE players can spectate and bet on the outcome. |

When the outpost hatch is open, the attacker's RDVs will fly to there, and capture crates of clones; each crate could be 25 clones (or some other number).
The victory condition for both teams is the depletion of the other's clone reserves, but basically the attackers get the option of stealing clones from the defenders to gain an advantage.
Clone crates stolen in planetary conquest will yield ISK equal to the biomass of the contained clones for the attackers if the attackers are successful. If the defenders win, then the clones stolen will return back to the defender's district.

Why capture the flag? Nuke it from orbit if it was that amarr damned important.
So you're going have to lore fit Most of these modes. |

You don't have to fit a damn thing to lore. Different game modes wouldnt impact EVE lore at all.
Here's how to cicumvent...
They are all training excercises... problem solved.
Lets move onto something that has substance.
Been a year CCP, 2 game modes, 4 maps... improve or become irrelevant.

Just to hype you up next build will look graphics wise more colourful and they're adding vegetation. yes soon we can feel bad ass weaving around trees in a lav |
