DUST Search - Black Screen in Battle

Spawned to the black screen. I COULD interact with things, could drive an LAV, and use its turret, could use a blaster installation.

I took a LAV to go to the Supply Depot, but changing suits just gave me the same Black Screen Of Death. My little map trick worked again, but I still had no weapons or gear. Get killed in pretty short order by a red dot, and spawned on the MCC to wait the game out. The map thing no longer worked to restore my sight, but I could look at the map, and while it was up, the chat window, NeoCom menu and player list worked normally.

Rebooted PS3, just logging back in now.

Game started OK and war barge looked OK First battle entered was instant battle ambush. Battle started OK on Skim Junction (With CRU and Supply Depot across the road from each other) but -- On entering battle -- I was in the game (died) but all I saw was a black screen -- had sound. Got the enter battle screen -- did -- same thing again. Died. Quit game, restarted PS3. Did not happen the second match I entered. Found this post from Feb, 2013. No one responded to it. Also this one and this post from the same time frame which might be related. It looks like this is a recurring problem that has not got on CCP's radar that we know of.

Countdown then black screen before spawn staying. The thing is that we really spawned ... The controller doesn't see nothing, but others can see you on the battlefield WITHOUT ANY WEAPON !!!! Just your harms along your body, walking around and getting kill... Issue happening to corpm8s too, it was the first time for me. Repeat : Black screen, can walk around the map without any weapon. Don't know how to reproduce it.

Get a Black Screen (you are deploy on the battlefield) Spam "Start" button, there you can see something --> you don't have weapon, you can't sprint. Get killed Try to respawn, black screen etc... You should have canceled that one 2 !!!

I didn't have this problem in the one Ambush maps we tried, but got it 3 times in Skirmish before giving up.

I also tried switching between my tv's HDMI sources to no avail. I could only head the sounds of the game around me and my squadmates accepting that i was resetting... (only happened on one game) My console is the latest 250GB model. They can fix it right now if they know what's wrong. Just end everyone's round and go into downtime. I'd prefer this to having the whole corp complaining tonight...

And one of my corp mates has gotten it once as well, then froze up in the middle of the next game. As it is, this is starting to feel like a reminiscence to the days of closed beta, when it was a pain to keep a squad together because of all these bugs causing us to have to drop and everything. Hopefully CCP does something soon, as I'm not looking forward to having to deal with this...

I only asking this because i recently re-installed Dust 514 trying to fix the "No Stats" bug, and i haven't have this problem in 4 hours of solid play. Pressing start would reveal the map etc as usual, but returning to the game just brought up black screen. PS menu worked as well. Exiting the game and joining a new one seems to have fixed the problem.

Upon entering any battle skirmish/ambush you start of with a black screen. The only option is to hit start and exit the battle. Neocom still works while having the black screen. This bug doesnt seem to hit the whole squad but inndividuals randomely. But everything is fine again after leaving the match and start a new one. We had two matches in a row though were first one guy and then another was having a black screen. People get scared to join a match with their advanced equipment ever since. And you see a lot of friendly and enemy zombie mercs just standing their or looking in some direction... This is the apocalype ;)
