If you want to REALLY fix afking you have to reward WP MORE than time. IMO no more than 2500sp should be given out by time spent in a game and sp for WP should be increased 4 times.

So I should just bunk up in the MCC until I can get the best suits/mods/whatnot with my SP/ISK and only start playing once I have a better chance against the advanced players or simply those who are better at this than me? That does not inspire me much. The matchmaking is horrible at the moment so the outcome is not pretty. All the matches I played yesterday were victorious (not because of me, gods no, I'm one of them unwanted crappy players) and the other teams were slaughtered. Once it was clear they are not going to win, the other team should have just retired to the MCC for the rest of the match? Leave the field for the better players? On that thought, maybe we should implement a system that if you die more than twice, you're booted off the match? Then some new guys can take their spot and hopefully do better. And if you're just so bad at this game that you constantly die more than twice in matches, it's just better for everyone if you left all-together, right?

To be competitive in high lvl CB's you need every SP possible. That is why I AFK and do other things.

The battle is already lost. I kep telling you people KD is important and dying is not the solution. I know we are immortal and such. But using your clone to a stupid move is not a bright idea. Yup that was me and a buddy, after 5 or 6 terrible matches of dumb blueberries we decide to sit in the MCC and AFK. It is my game, I do what I want. Please find some way to get me out of the MCC CCP by making a good game, maybe if it was as much fun sitting and chatting as it was to play this game, you would have less AFK farming. Defiance is coming, beta starts on the 19th. If that game ends up as good as we all think, then Dust is Dust.

I AFK'd a game yesterday because I just wondered how much SP you actually got for it I was surprised at how much and especially when for salvage I got some officer AR's first time I had ever got that particular item. Seems backwards really I have played countless games where I finished in the top 3 and yet got nothing or rubbish salvage, I AFK one game and got some balac's ar's.

If you have ever played me in a pub or a corp battle you will know that I don't really need to use them salvages. I have around 6 million SP and none of my weapons are past level 4. I don't need cool salvage and proto gear to take out friggin scrubs in a pub. Wait till I get my kittening proto weapons and offizer weapons. It will give these pub scrubs to QQ some more.

Feeding the enemy team kills only fuels their points, which fuels their free orbital strikes (i.e. not actually connected to any EVE ship), which in turn contributes to pointlessness. Complain at players all you like, but it makes no difference, as the fault isn't with the players doing it, the fault is with CCP for allowing it - and technically speaking, if they want the game to be truly sandbox, they can't really correct that. Pointless.

You start off the match with have of your team running for the mountains to get their uber premium sniping spots so they can get a staggering score of 4/2 for the match. You spend the next 5 minutes hearing ping ping ping to the tune of "The hills are alive with the sound of kitteny snipers" After that comes the redline which, guess what, brings out more window licking snipers. To give you a sense of how bad some blutards actually are: I AFK'd a match with 1 suicide (testing theory) to go 0/1 with 0 WP and there were TWO people worse than me. One with 0/8 and other 0/12 with a whopping 0 WP combined while 'trying' to do something in the game.

I do agree you should not get salvage if you arent helping your team.. 0 WP gives you 0 chance for salvage. I havent seen more than 2 ppl on any side at any given time doing this... and in skirmish its an absolute rarity that 2 people would make a difference in the outcome

Because this guys atleast don't lose their hope on Dust. Would you like it better if your going in empty matches day for day?
