On skirmish, I flew myself with a cheap dropship on top of a building. Put drop uplinks and nanohives. I equipped with swarm launchers and AV grenades.
9 kills, 2 deaths. Gained 1900 wp. Sp 9000 plus. I over scored the person who has 27 kills. We lost the game, but who cares. I get what I came for.

Its getting like that isn't it.
Thousands of clone soldiers, staring off into space, the dreaded jovan disease finally sets in.
Maybe one plucky soldier fresh out the vats tries to lighten the mood with some talk about the guys in tech whispering about new weaponry, or that the empires are having problems with drones on planets. Try as he might he's met with icy cold stares and sighs, time to lock and load, trapped in endless warfare on the same planet. Oh yes, command might tell you its different worlds, be everyone knows we never left Murdus grasp, how could it be anything else? The same dirt tracks and roads in the same layout around the same buildings on the same dusty world. Time to die some more, to slaughter each other for his sick entertainment, reason is gone, cause is gone, all that remains is the empty hum of skill hardwiring and another deposit of isk in your bank account. |

someone needs to make a new LFSquad channel called "we just dont give a crap", because i always get stuck with noobs and tryhards acting like it's their first skirmish match and screaming about the hack points.

If you don't care for objectives, what are you doing in skirmish? They created ambush especially for you. |

The rewards are higher in skirmish. The game is broken. |

You could have hacked the objectives yourself if you were so busy while your uplink was racking up your WP score. Every successful hack gives you 100 for objectives and 50 for installations, CRUs and supply depots. You would have earned so much more in combination with your uplink and nanohive. |

The rewards aren't really higher in skirmish and this has been pointed out time and time again. Sure the lump sum you get can be higher but overall ambush rewards you more. |

Per match the rewards are usually higher, but skirmish matches are typically about 15-20 minuets long. Which is easily 2-3 ambush matches. I tend to average about 3500 SP (without booster) in a ambush match, and on half-decent matches 1000+ WP. And ~250k ISk per match.
I think generally, they are pretty close. It's just that per-match ambush doesn't seem as impressive, but you can get more of them done in the same time-frame. |

just in case this hasn't been said already
I would kill to get those kind of numbers out of a match and be happy to do it.

If you truly didn't want to put in any effort, just AFK-farm in the MCC...
Meh, gotta love these double standards. A PRO member makes a post about not caring for objectives in Skirmish and it's a big no-no, but members of more respected corporations post about AFK-farming and that's totally acceptable. What's the difference? Either way, you don't care about winning the Skirmish match and are going for SP and ISK. |

The thread is not about me for not caring for the objectives. I post this because the game is becoming like one. I forgot to mention that the game was public match. |
