The RDV spam is already a common tactic with vets. I find myself counting to ten sec, cause the RDV arrives in fifteen sec. what ever comes first. My tank is going to give, or I reach the ten sec. limit.
I don't mind being killed by AV, but when the AV is an RDV?! It feels like an exploit. |

For us tank drivers our own RDV is already an AV. I guess same holds true with dropship pilots since I have had a few RDV's pop my DS when they drop it on a crate. |

I hate the post because it makes more players aware of this tactic, and only an incredible unlucky tanker has to worry about RDV's when his vehicle is already deployed
You actually think blue/redberries are going to be organized enough in PUB matches to actually get this to work? Even if it were something such as a corp match, the situation would almost need to be perfect for it to work. The 'deployed' part is the operative word there. Thats half the battle.
Um they are. I've seen it happen to me, others, used it, etc.
Almost every match. Especially when a vehicle is chilling around the same area for a short time. Yes, Yes, Yes. This is being used. And frankly it's BS. Needs addressed. |

When you call in an RDV make sure the area is clear of obstacles. Next if anyone is standing still on the radar they are probably calling in something too. Wait at least 15 seconds, play RDVATC (RDV air traffic control) give 'em separation onto the dropzone. If someone want to drop something were you are do your best to wave him off. |

They still sometimes go off in random directions far away from you and hover around for 30 seconds begging AV to knock it out before I can activate defenses. Or simply aim straight for a wall. Or kindly drop the ship on a hill where it rolls over and can't lift off under any configuration of possible movements. Waiting to die. RDVs are a total fail in their current implementation. |
