// Update 1: Operations Complete //
Command would like to thank all the mercenaries that participated. Battle reports are being generated now.
Early reports suggest some hesitation and confusion expressed by the mercenaries post battle to what they are fighting for. As Tibus Heth continues to pit the state against itself it's becoming harder to decide how the impact is going to be anything but favorable or predictable. |

OR people can stop abusing game mechanics. Because stopping an AFK farmer requires the work of another person meaning 2 people are not on the battlefield instead of one.
Seriously eventually ccp is going to have to step in and fix it.
Personally I'm a friend of extremes and say they should remove the redline and give players a 10 second "evac from mcc" period or they die for failing to support the cause. |

I got contracted by Heth. I blew myself up with grenades 16 times in ambush. I will bring him down at any costs.

Should have footage of the event up shortly.
When Heth's forces tried to get me to shoot soldiers protecting the civilians I responded by running them over with the Angel LAV.
Luckily, I got to join in a battle on the side of the Caldari people, and, though we were losing to start with, we were able to snatch victory from the jaws of defeat.
Battle footage to be posted shortly. |

Unfortunately, an error in my CRU's consciousness-transfer software meant my clones were asleep until the tail end of the conflict. But the fighting I saw was definitely not in favor of one side or the other. I woke up in the middle of a battle that looked well in hand for the people of Expert Intervention, but a massive, determined counter-offensive demolished our lines. I myself was consistently pinned by laser fire, so I wasn't able to support my allies very easily. The battle ended heavily in the Peacekeeper's favor, despite my best efforts.
My next deployment was certainly an uphill fight. We managed to secure a natural ridge-line with heavy-suit support, but the Peacekeepers doggedly fought for it the whole match. Thankfully, impressive logistical support from myself and several others ensured our casualties were kept to an absolute minimum. when the enemy saw they couldn't dislodge our position with basic infantry, they resorted to other methods, including LAV rushes, orbital strikes, and precision sniping to diminish our logistical support. But expert triage and AV tactics, as well as a perfectly-timed counter-orbital bombardment, ensured we kept our superior position. So despite an impressive early lead, we managed to whittle down the enemy's strength, eventually forcing them to withdraw to lick their wounds.
I can't say I favor a stronger Caldari State, being Gallente and therefore repugnant to a majority of its population, but it feels nice to fight for the little guy for a change.
That, and every dead Caldari means the Federation is that much safer. |

Pretty sure I was with you in that one. It was a close run affair that match.
Jumped in a couple other times, finding myself working for the State Peacekeepers. Grenades were my only friend in those battles. |

I am glad we were able to protect the protesters during their movement on the ground. At least the citizens of New Caldari could see that some clone mercenaries are willing to protect their fellow man, not murder them in cold blood for profit. I'm proud I was able to make a stand against Caldari corporate tyranny. And on New Caldari no less Imagine people's surprise when they found out a Gallent was in full combat armor firing at State Peacekeepers
It is unfortunate that the protesters' fortunes couldn't have been maintained in space, however. The Home Guard was charged with protecting the people under its charge. And yet they were easily able to terminate their own charges. Yes, pun intended. I am glad the capsuleers and CONCORD made a stand against this madness, even if they couldn't save everyone involved.
I hope Heth is happy with the mess he's made. |

Role play fail CCP, only 2000 people died? that people die every time a capital ship goes down. In fact more lifes were most likely lost in the simple ship on ship battle that happen around the "mass murder"
I was picturing the normal capacity of a freighter for human cargo, 40,000 each. Why did they have 2 carrying a total of 5000 protesters?
meh I don't want to feel like a hyper nerd but, who cares if 2000 people die in new eden, I mean come on. |

freighters without cargo are simple ships they can be operated with a crew of 10. |

Escape pods are also a thing. While the first freighter didn't die slowly, it didn't die that quickly. The second one took forever to die. The longer it takes a ship to get through armour (if it's shield tanking) and structure, the more people get off alive.
Not to mention they were filled with protesters. So even if it's going to be capable of carrying a full load of people, it makes sense that they only got x number of protesters and that's what they flew out with. |

I would also like to note that don't put all your eggs in one basket.
Also that these freighters may have had multiple destinations and thus where going to shuttle their respective protesters back to their home systems/stations. |
