None. Just want to point out, it's not a released game yet. We are testers who are paid by having access to the game early in exchange for pointing out issues they left laying about, providing feedback on how best to fix those issues, giving feedback on the balance and stability of the build, etc.
The updates and hotfixes are unnecessary in order for us to test new things for them. If they don't provide enough content (read: payment) to keep our interest, people here will begin to wander elsewhere. And in turn, CCP begins to lose public interest as well as free beta testers.
But you knew that. I only mentioned it because you didn't. |

The game's released. Beta is a tag to keep reviewers silent. But we are commercially released, aka full launch. |

I repeat what game gives you new content and hotfixes every three to six months for free. Not an iterpretation of free but the real world meaning of free as in no money exchanging hands??

Not an iterpretation of free but the real world meaning of free as in no money exchanging hands?? But you knew that right? Maybe I wasn't clear. This is the beta for a game. Meaning it is a limited test version of an actual game, not the game itself. When it is actually released, then yes, you can make that statement. Until it is, this is not a game,it is a beta. So when and if we get updates has nothing to do with customer service and everything to do with keeping the interest of the people who are helping you (for free) to make a game.
That's what I was referring to, but I suppose you missed that after all. |

3-6 months in between new content is fine for a game that actually has... ALOT OF CONTENT.
The last build was for stability and polish.
The last build where we actually received new content was E3 (i think). E3... And it wasn't much.
Idea... CCP FoxFour since you are the talkative one of the bunch. Ask them to release SOME information about what kind of content we have coming in the new build. This kind of information might satisfy the savages.
If its only 2 maps and those 3 guns that were talked about a month ago... Time for a different FPS.

Agreed. If the new content comes out and its just one map and one gun then Dust 514 playtime is going to be cut for a lot of folks.

For Dust you don't yet have any track record and it's not like these are free. The whole game is already free. It's not like you will make older players pony up in the P2W shop to get what a new player would.
CCP may have ambitions, but honestly and with all due respect you aren't really in a position to know - just like us.
I doubt your role would command knowledge of such corporate plans beyond public domain intent. |

E3 we only had old Ashland Skirmish 1.0 . (Biomass and Coms were deactivated. ) 1 map only one and we had to fight on it for MONTHS. With free vehicles ! HMG's that blew up before you even pulled the trigger ! RE mania ! Creodrons Creodrons Creodrons and more Creodrons (other weapons ? what's that those other weak rifles or crappy Shotgun or Massdriver ? LOL! well I guess smg is cool.)
We come a LONG way from E3 with major changes since then . |

Yes I was in beta and drudging through the lack of content then as well. As I said in previous threads, it has taken a year to make this game a stable (sometimes), average FPS. On the other hand the SP system is fantastic.
But it is still just an avg shooter after 3-4 years of development? And the above described in your quote isn't new content, as I said, name the new content past the E3 build they have added?
I am not bashing the game, it's very addictive. Look at my posting history in the past, it's been nothing but praise.
I am saying the lack of content put out is ridiculously low. |
