Cant put my finger on it but ive been 100% hooked on DUST since i started. i have a blast with my corp mates all the time. Not sure if its the free factor (since im saving for a house and getting married in august ) or its just i have awesome friends to play with on a regular but im very pleased with the way things are going and am pumped for what CCP has planned for the future of EVE/DUST 514.
Anybody else really just having a blast playing the game for what it is atm and why ?
Again , CCP, thanks for the good times. I know im having quite alot of them! |

Deffinitely Travi! I know I needed a break from the standard FPS rable, and yeah i play every night after work and every weekend. This game is Badass and its not even finished. I think loads of "issues" will evetually be fixed and the commitment from CCP to have a lasting game rather releasing a new one every year is an awesome option thats going to keep me around. Almost like a WOW for console owners, Finally.
Thanks CCP, keep up the great work. |

Me and my buddy are having a blast too.....we haven't played FPS in over 10 years, and finally getting our skillz back.
CoD wasn't for me...MAG, Halo, and etc but this game has promise.
Good work thus far. |

As much as I love Dust 514, which is a lot, I've actually been Crysis 3 a lot more. Its a damn good game. Sorry if this came off as promoting. |

Its the New Eden effect. It's not as bad as EVE, but you're basically working a second job, potentially paying someone to be able to work said job, and you just can't stop yourself. You want more. It's like digital meth more or less. |

I'm having a blast cause I can spec anyway I want and own my character. Later when districts get introduced, I will be able to make a name along with my corpmates that I enjoy playing with. Basically, I feel I own my character and later I will own a portion of the universe. Maybe even own a planet all to myself. Sandbox for the win! |

Digital meth indeed. I work for months approximately 200 miles off the edge of the charted world (no internet at all), and my lady knows to get that first good lovin right at the airport because when I hit the front door I'll be getting my fix of Eve or Dust (or both). Sad but true. |

CURSEEEEEE YOUUUUUU! lol. At least a tease is still more than most devs would do these days in terms of player/dev relations

I love dust tho Im sure my corp mates who have had the pleasure of me after a day of work doubt it slightly.
Started as a logi specced the hell out of it then on the suggestion of a corp mate I unearthed my dragonfly and stuck a shotgun on it...
I have never been happier in my gaming life... and that my scout suit by about sat will have a scan profile of 22db before mods...
I love walking up beside entire groups of enemies unmolested... sure soon as I fire the first shot chaos ensues but I watched some scanning for me (turning left right slowly several times) and then walking right past me... glorious. |

I've really enjoyed the game so far and the ability to come and go yet not feel I've missed something major. Having played other online games, it was frustrating when life came around and I didn't play for a week only to come back and see everyone at end game already and no one I can party up with to keep it interesting.
Looking forward to the social aspect of it and to see things build up in the metaworld |

The metagame is building both from CCP side and the players. It should grow by orders of magnitude after release and beyond. Should be pretty fun indeed once markets open, money flows, and serious backstabbing begins.

One thing that always always brings me back to New Eden is the community. I play not because it looks awesome or this is epic or that is pro but because i have friends on here. If i have a bad day i want to get on, make a drink, and shoot some newbs in the face while smack talking my buddies.
The greatest features of any CCP games are not the graphics or the gun game. It's the ability to form strong communities of people. Everyone who is complaining about this and that clearly doesnt value the social aspect of the game which is very developed . Keep focusing on community and people will always come back no matter how many times they say i'm leaving because heavies are OP. |

I am in the unfortunate situation where I have to chose (daily) whether to lead my fleet in battle in space or lead my troops in battle on the ground.... I love both games too much, and find myself in a bad spot when corp mates from both games ask me to join them. |

I'm in it for the rabbit hole effect that CCP does so well. The deeper you go the more interesting new eden gets.
I recommend all mercs new to New Eden research null sec etc and really dig their teeth into the lore. |

For me, DUST has been that fresh breath of New Eden I missed. Haven't played EvE since Trinity / Empyrean Age. The graphic upgrade was too much for my little 128Mb Nvidia. I still miss EvE, but at least I can play in TQ with old friends and make new ones.
And further more, My EvE toon used to live in Vard. So naturally the recent Pator tribal summit, and the Amarrian attack in Vard brought that "OMG, stuff got real!" I missed those kind of moments in EvE. And as DUST moves on I'm going to get that, sinking feeling enemies are near. I miss low sec paranoia...
And to the rest of my New Eden neighbors, I love hating you!
