50% more SP that means : if the cap is 200 with no boosters , the cap with boosters will be 300 |

Active, but not by a lot.
However, even when you hit the cap, you still recieve some SP from WP. So once you hit the cap, the active doesn't stop helping. And THAT is why it is useful if you will play a lot. |

Normal weekly sp cap is 190,400 sp, it is boosted to 285,600 with an active booster.
Passive SP is normally 24,000 a day or 168,000 a week, with a booster 36,000/day or 252,000 a week.
If you had to pick one and are sure you can hit the cap, the active booster will give you more SP for your buck. Especially if you keep playing after the cap and get 1,500 sp a game.
But if you can afford to, you really, really should be using BOTH. An active booster and a passive booster are not mutually exclusive, and will do much more for you in the long run than a pile of aur modules! |

Well, I just activated my active booster the game after I hit skill-cap for this week.
However I'm still only getting 200ish SP (300ish boosted) per game.
Is this because my passive SP gain factored into my weekly skill cap total and went over 50% of it, leaving the active bonus to be basically worthless? |

Yes,
Only activate the active booster on a fresh cap, not an already used one. |

no that's because after hitting cap you earn 1sp per 1 wp so basically your doing awful and if your only getting 200wp a game you need to step it up 200wp is like 4 kills |

No you activated your boost too late and now you're stuck unfortuantely this week, but you could send a support ticket to [email protected] and maybe they can help you out. |

well it was a bad game lol. But even so. I was under the impression that it would raise the cap as well putting SP at a min of 2k or so a game. Also pilots aren't known for getting many war points. . .

Won't it end up being a net 0 difference if I wait till next Tuesday cap and reach weekly cap within a couple days?

no. passive gains do not influence active cap.
try to think of it as, the active booster does not add to your cap, it multiplies the SP you earn under your cap. you still need to be able to earn those skillpoints to multiply them. so basically, waiting until AFTER you hit your weekly cap to inject your active booster, is just about the worst way to go about it. |

No, since passive boost doesn't cap.
