They can fit inside dropships along with other infantry, so why do people think they are "walking HAV's"? |

How would a walking HAV be any larger than a regular HAV
Taller yes, but if it is the same mass it will take up nearly the same space. They definatly won't be as long, and if crouched they would be more of a compact shape (or in transport mode be in a more boxy mode.
Ideally they have 3 classes of them to fill the nifty sizes, kind of like battletech or equivalents |

Uhh, yea, they will. If you read "Empyrean Age", you would know that. Actually, hold on....... ' Curiosity gave way to fear as the Dropship's ramp lowered. Two combat MTACs marched out, with heavily armed infantry following close behind.' Enough proof for you? |

They will most likely be twice as tall as a merc and not able to jump into a dropship. Also that book was written five years ago, things change. |

Considering the dropships we have right now don't have ramps, I imagine that dropship is a larger one designed for just such a use.
Oh, and I will never leave my MTAC....ever. I'm getting a toilet and a small fridge installed. It will be glorious. |

Eve dropships aren't DUST dropships. For one thing EVE dropships can fly higher than 200ft. |

EvE dropships are designed to descend from orbit, so they're probably a bit beefier than what we use in game. |

My impression is that EVE dropships are like a C-7 cargo jet and Dust dropships are like Blackhawks. |

Naw more versatility with Heavy slots. I could also use boundless and freedom mass drivers to spread boundless freedom all over my enemies faces. |

The reason why we can't now is because of balance issues. We used to be able to fly MUCH higher. Anyways, I just read that part in Templar One, and that got me to think that there could be as far as
1: New heavy Dropship class that will go into heavy air vehicles
2: Different sizes of MTAC's that will HAV different turret sizes.
I doubt though they will put in that particular MTAC though, otherwise, it will be OP as hell. |

That second image, for those interested in lore, is Tibus Heth protecting a guy from the factory he worked in during a worker's rebellion. Assuming I remember Empyrean Age correctly. It was the defining moment that made him a folk hero, which allowed him to go from working ******* to leading the corporation they were rebelling against; and eventually being in charge of the entire State.
Edit: lol...apparently an extremely common term for a downtrodden working class person is profanity |

Close.
The picture depicts Tibus Heth rescuing a man he sent to negotiate with the security forces attempting to control Tibus' rebellion. The man Tibus is attempting to rescue has just been shot by a high-caliber sniper round.
In the book he's supposed to be dead already, but artistic license is what it is.
*Lore nerd powers deactivate*
Everything else you mentioned is spot on though. |
