P.S. Good job CCP for making a great suit, I would write some paragraphs describing the Logi's full potential but I fear others would eventually use it against me. |

Um I reallly like using 4 damage mods but its best not to get used to them 1.55 x damage is really cool with any weapon. I can take out Suryas with 2-3 swarm volleys.
I use 2 damage mods for some of my weapons and 1 damage mod for the MD. |

I go back and forth on 1-2 damage mods. I have MD up to Prof 2 at the moment and it is basically an extra damage mod on my MD. But I like the 2 complex damage mods for Heavy's it takes a least one less MD shot to get the kill.
I know many of the MD players going for Proto soon, but until we get some real reason to use them (tournaments) then I see no real point in them yet. Probably will use Series B for most of pub games and proto for matches or rare pub matches vs good players.

I have my MD at level 3 (not proficiency just the base level) and I use the Cyclone MD on my Logi. It does plenty damage. I dont even need flux grenades any more. I have OHKed inf and taken down heavies in 2 shots. I just use a complex damage mod. The rest are shields and armor. Prefer the B or Vk1s. I like my survivability on it.
Ran into Kaughst the other day. Wasnt too impressed with his MD game play. Too much reliance on damage mods and logi to help him out. I would either take speed or tank over damage mods.
And that would be nice to have an officer MD. |

Yes... I was going to run Combat logi but after joining the Imperfects I've gone to more slayer then saver.
Ill have B-series this week (tomorrow), I have 4 million in SP but I have gone complex shields, damage, MD prof 2 instead plus rep tool, drop up link, ammo all past lvl 3. |

Go to MD 5 and get the full 25% splash damage, until then your MD is not really doing all that much. Prof 3 means free damage mod.
Cyclone is ok, Im using Freedom MD atm.
Any Hvy in two shots was a weak Hvy ;) now snipers, assault and other logi yes 1-2 shots at max.
I have many drop suit builds, one with flux and one with Packed AV nades. Depends on the map or player what I use.
Damage mods vs shields is up to the player, what kind of fighter are you. Also are you camping up high or ground and pound will make a huge difference as to what you do with your build. Campers = damage mods. Ground fighters = shields.
Well heading home and onto Dust, thanks for the chat. See you in game.

Actually....it really depends on what gear / equipment you are running / plan to run.
Once you start stacking ADV gear all over the place let me know how many of those things you can fit on your Type A.
First few builds I focused on the primary weapon, shield skills, and other core skills. Personally, I found that every time I upgraded nanocircuitry to fit the next hive or injector with say an ADV AR and my other goodies I was having to spend SP on more core skills for fitting or light weapon upgrades....and then I'm looking at the next suit.
This time around I went with the suits and shield skills first while dabbling in LW SS and Weaponry along the way. Still using an STD AR simply because I can't decide on a primary weapon and CPP keeps teasing me with the Scrambler Rifle.
Both paths have valid arguments but your crazy if you think going for PROTO suits fairly early is a poor option. Especially if your corp is actively battling. |

I have all advanced gear on my A-Series except for the shield extenders, which are next on the list. I now have plenty of cpu and power grid to support those as well since my rank 1 fitting skills are all maxed. After that it'll be weaponry support skills and then onto prototype mass driver.
Only then will I start training for the prototype suit so I can start hanging prototype modules on it. |

Which route do you think is more effective?
1. Unlock expensive suits first and equip them with less effective gear but with plenty of free CPU and power grid.
2. Maximize lower cost suits and gear and move to the more expensive suit when you can't squeeze any more benefit out of them.
I know the route I'm taking. The first thing to train to the next tier will also be my weapon. |

That depends...If you're talking about Assault....
You can't get near the tank a PROTO suit can nor can you carry as many equipment items.
I'm not going to assume you haven't been here for a while but most of the older closed testers have seen the difference between the gun variants narrowed to where many of us think you are better off using STD or ADV weapons for the fitting benefits.
A PROTO suit player with complex extenders will not only out tank you by a mile but he will also likely have RE's to go with the hive or a hive and injector combo....or a repper...or an uplink. We do CB quit a bit so having more fitting options is important and that extra equipment slot is a distinct advantage when you have a whole squad of Assault guys with 2 equipment slots.
Personally, I've done it both ways but I'm glad I knocked PROTO out early this time. Especially considering I can't decide on a primary weapon specialization.
To each their own....just saying your dismissing the thoughts of very successful corps who have been at this a while.

I've been here since closed beta.
The point brought up earlier was ignoring core skills to get into a prototype logistics suit as fast as possible. At this point unlocking a prototype suit means the vast majority of your SP is in the suit and not much else. I have 3.2 mil SP entirely in logistics and core skills and nothing else and my best suit is the A-Series. Others probably have a bit more SP than I do because I've been working overtime since before the reset. If I had aimed for the suit I would have no other skills trained today.

IMO, it's even more important in Logistics to get that suit leveled up b/c you are severely lacking tank until ADV. At least in Assault you can rock the Type II fairly successfully for quite a while and the PROTO Logi is one fo the better suits in the game right now and certainly the most versatile.
I'm not doubting that you didn't think your skill plan out. As I said....both ways can be effective.
However, dismissing the benefits of PROTO in favor of core skills is kind of short sided, IMO. I have gone at it both ways in multiple suit classes. I would be even more inclined to knock out the Logi suit skills very early on if I was on that path.
Would I have it at 3.2 mil SP....maybe not...but I would already be in an advanced suit and already saving for PROTO.

Prepare your bodies?
What is your left nut going to finally drop so you can stop whining into coms with that pre pubescent nasally voice of yours?
You're so diluted kid thinking that you and the G_IMPS are the originators of anything in this game...you need to get real. |

You underestimate me. P.S. Good job CCP for making a great suit, I would write some paragraphs describing the Logi's full potential but I fear others would eventually use it against me.
Don't worry Aldin it will only last 2-3 more weeks when i get mine. Too many distractions o/w i would have had it by now. Oh well. Im coming for you. |

Going proto too early can be hurtful. I pwn protos all day with my advanced A. I think any logi, as long as he has 2.5 mil sp or better if speced right could afford to go proto, plus it would be the biggest upgrade they can get. I just decided a few days ago that saving for it would yield the biggest return over minute upgrades at this time. Now that players have started getting those higher tier weapons, all the shield and armor you can fit on a type a is not enough to stand up to but a few duvolle burst, or that dreaded instant pop shotgun rounds to the head. |
