Just saw my first advanced tank today.

It was fairly epic to see and scary too. Now I know what those wee humans in the dream sequence in terminator felt like. However it wasn't really that much fun.. I know, imagine wanting fun in a game right? Maybe I should just HTFU and be grind content for other players. I just hid tbh as militia swarm launchers did hilariously little. The best bit was when two tanks chased me up a hill just to kill lil old 4 hour old me with my grapefruit launcher (militia swarm launcher). In related news I figured out how to shoot the swarm launcher round corners.

Counters to proto tanks might be stealth scout squads laying mines and explosives like crazy. IED tactics maybe. Do remote explosives also beep on a tank? I don't think they do...This is feeding into my theory that the best AV will be stealth scout AV.

When me and buddy come in on a tank we don't last long...guess we suck or have bad luck. ;) Never fails when the other team is in one and I spawn in with something to do damage against them and they have moved, and BOOM dead. Log back in with AR kit and...there is the damn tank. ha We had one match this weekend where two tanks were up trolling the perimeter and it was actually fun playing cat and mouse in the middle blasting folk around containers wilst keeping away from the tanks.

I definately saw a sagaris and a magrugar. All were blaster fit, and when I fired my puny grapefruit launcher at the Mag, I think I took less that 5% off the shield with 3 volleys. I couldn't tell if they had hardeners active or shield boosts because I was shooting from behind cover, doing that lock and shoot into the sky trick.

I found out the best way to make points was to actually drop a hacked drop uplink on a roof and get points from team spamming. In the end I was first on my team for WP, without shooting a single bullet. Ramming with a militia tank is quite a good idea!

There's so much that happens together. You never see 4+tanks getting dropped in corp battles for a reason xD

My guess is that you can get those into 15k-20k EHP territory. That or basically add a repper in the extra slot and spider tank.

The Surya and Sagaris are the advanced tanks. The proto tanks were the black ops ones that were taken off the market months and months ago.

Militia logi doesn't have a sidearm. You'd have to melee infantry to death with a swarm launcher.
