Interesting. The best players are always super critical of their own playstyle. Contantly doughting themselves. Imperfect perfectionists.

Shouldn't you be on the Starhawk forums telling everyone about your hawk skills?
Also I believe that corp of yours is missing an O before your R. |

Lol leave Phoenix alone, he's a level headed cat(of which we could use a few more of around here.) and from what I remember 6+ months ago few pilots were better, with exception of Southern Comfort, PLYMCO_PILGRIM(who's also BHD if I remember right) and few others.
I'm probably not remembered over at the Starhawk forums but I figured I'd give props were I know there due. |

We were the victims of hate...someone decided to take our name in EVE (made an alt of our leader's name and took our corp name) a good year or so ago...so we had to get creative...
EDIT: You can easily look it up lol. Oh, and the current spelling is the same as it was in MAG (though it was like that due to a character limit rather than spelling error...) |

Well i think if you have a 10 KDR or greater (without tanking just running infantry mostly) then its probably pretty safe to assume that you are a pretty elite player.
I know that I am an above average FPS player but still doesnt really explain how well I do in dust sometimes............I think some of it has to do with how many below average FPS players we have. |

I think according to the Dunning-Kruger effect, confused people are just confused. They might make the best team players, as they will be asking good questions to unconfuse themselves, therein helping others learn with them. It is good that you have come out of the closet with your confusion. Suppressing confusion can lead to some seriously suppressed trauma and behavior, such as afk SP farming. |

I doubt 10.0 KDR is possible solo, without a team, without tanks, without l33t logoff tricks to save a death on the frontline. You can never account for something spawning into your rear end or by getting rolled when your team consists of below average individuals or running into a pack of wild carnivorous lemmings coming out from totally nowhere all of a sudden.
Happens to me all the time, "good god where t F*** is everyone ...."cricket chirps" then all of a sudden you get rushed by 8 guys"
My favorite moment is still spawning in front of a enemy LAV moving at me at top-speed, then re-spawning while you think oh FFS ...its behind me now ..aaand die again without being to influence the outcome in any way. |

Um proto man and reg to name two I know who run primarily infantry and have greater than 10 KDRs.
Oh and if you disconnect or logoff of dust....you still get the death counted against you. The only way you dont is if the server itself crashes...then noone loses or gains anything. |

I have to admit I was pretty on top of my game the last time we squadded up. Going 130 some odd kills with 0 deaths over a period of 4 skirmishes (and me not being leader so no OBS) was pretty boss.

GÇ£To know yet to think that one does not know is best; Not to know yet to think that one knows will lead to difficulty.GÇ¥
GÇ£Knowing others is wisdom, knowing yourself is enlightenment.GÇ¥

I'm sure there are thousands of quotes on this subject though, many I've heard but can't recall right now. Philosophers have been speaking out against the dangers of thinking you know more than you do for as long as there have been philosophers. |

I don't think the concept applies that much. (Maybe for making fittings and investing SP) Nobody is going to think they're above average while getting steamrolled; that's some pretty prominent feedback.
If anything, the problem is with mercs struggling to unwind their personal FPS skills from the game's RPG elements and the support of their teammates.
That random, 600k SP, NPC corp employed redberry you just annihilated could easily be a FPS god compared to you. (Not that guy shooting at the MCC, though. He clearly stinks.) |

Not pro level yet (I got torn to shreds last time I did a corp match) but good enough to rank top-four in almost every match I play.
