I wanna feel like I'm on the inside of a suit looking out. Like I'm actually encased in layers of metal and circuitry and what I'm seeing is actually a holographic projection on the inside of my helmet. Seeing as we have no face holes in our head buckets. Something like iron mans HUD interface. I'm not sure exactly how this could be done but I'm sure the wobbly HUD idea that's on the forums would greatly improve this. Also maybe some changes in the placement of things. Have things appear and disappear on there sides for example. When calling in a vehicle a little image could pop up on the right side that shows the face of he pilot or something and he confirms he's on his way. Little things can go a long way |

Halo 4 had a decent hud, maybe not as fancy as Dust should have since the Master Chief actually has a visor but it would be a good starting point.

Having variable HUD for each suit might be cool. It would also probably take some time to do it right.
Personally, I don't see the face shield as something that projects a holographic, (this would be impossible), image, but as something that is using sensors to relay visual and other information directly to your visual center in your brain.

In the EVE universe I think this makes more sense. With thier level of impants and bio-engineering, it would be just as easy to have implants that would relay that information directly to the brain. That way you avoid any visual discrepencies of a screen and it would provide greater accuracy to where targets are.
I think the HUD is fine really. There could be come polish applied but I think there are more critical areas to apply polish first. |

all indications in lore indicate that the face shield is a one-way visor. You can see out, they can't see in. |

That and we are essentially clones, we can do anything to our biology since our bodies are temporary.
As the lore says, uplinks are actually lethal, but we can use them because when the biology gives in (if we survive the battle) we just get a new clone. |

It might make sense the way it is now from a lore perspective, but from purely the point of view of making an immersive game that looks good (as well as functions well), the HUD could use an update as the OP suggests. The HUD is currently serviceable, but it's rather dull and generic. Dust has a lot of great gameplay potential, it should look just as good. |

Honestly this may make sense but it's not as cool. If CCP could make something like the crisis HUD mixed with other Dust elements it would be awesome. By the way. Iron man has a display on the inside of his helmet? why is it impossible that we could |
