i apologize if someone has mentioned it already,
I dont know if its supported on the PS3, but you might be able to use a USB multi port. It will give you some more length of cordage , and allow you to plug in all 3 ubs devices. Only if the ps3 allows such devices. Otherwise I was in the same boat as you until i got myself a Bluetooth headset, 3 usb devices and only 2 slots!!
Also, keep at it man! I had such a **** start using a DS3. I switched to KB/M, cranked the sensitivity to 100, and like you are doing, adapted. Only thing that stinks about KB/M is that you cannot change the key bindings, which sucks because its sometimes uncomfortable to try and coke a grenade with your thumb lol.
Ah and yes, sometimes it feels like im am pressing to many keys on my keyboard and I wont be able to cook a grenade because it doesnt want to register that i am holding the button down, and I will toss a ****** nade right against a wall.
But Yes! if you are used to KB/M fps's, use KB/M. Some people are really good at using the DS3, but screw that! KB/M :D |

I got a late start, comparatively, so I get it. Seems like everybody was significantly skilled in shields and suits, so I had to just op them with weaponry. Now I feel backwards balanced. Luckily, reprieve will come with a respec soon. And an alleged stat reset will take the sadness off of my (over-rated) KDR that got trashed for a month while soloing some homemade tutorials.

Alternatively, when you're standing 2 ft. in front of them and laughing maniacally as the once mighty laser overlord panics in fear as his/her laser does little more than tickle you. I don't understand why many don't have a sidearm but I love it. My laser fit has 3 C.L. damage mods and can still fit a breach smg. |

In the last two days I have had several matches where I faced skilled FPS players. The experience was impressive/daunting/scarey but most of all very humbling. (For instance, in my only Corp battle to date we went up against What The French. WTF was certainly my reaction to meeting them in battle. LOL) A good player with an assault rifle can kill me at their maximum range in the time it takes me to line up a shot with a sniper rifle. And I sport an assault suit with upgraded shield and armour skills, not one of those paper scout suits. I use cover, and study tactics. I try to play this game smart. But non of that matters when it takes 3 seconds to line up a shot and I am playing against people who can line up their shot as fast as they can move their weapon. On the up side, I am way better with the controllers than I was when I started about a week before Open Bata. So I think what I need is just practice, practice, Practice! Luckily my wife is going to be away for the next 3 weeks on training. Now, the points I want to make (all be they random and divers): - This game does require skill, the kind you canGÇÖt buy in a book using ISK. I know, because I donGÇÖt have it. (Yet?) - I am an expert at dying, yet I have not encountered a weapon yet that I thought was overpowered. I have been able to figure out how to deal with each one I have encountered... in theory. In practice a girl-scout with a sling shot could probably take me in a straight up fire fight, but I did not make this thread to cry for a nerf to slingshots. - I have encountered players who are worse than I am. I sure hope they donGÇÖt post nerf threads. - The frustration of being killed 5 times in a row by the same guy with a laser riffle all goes away when you come over a hill with a sniper rifle and see laser riffle guy standing with his back to you. Give me 10 seconds to aim and even I can get a head shot. - Finally, as horrible as I am, I have been thoroughly enjoying this game and the people in it. I would like to tip my hat to the skilled FPS players that I have faced in battle and who have shown me a level of skill I can aspire to. I was in a similar boat. I started about 7 months ago though. It gets better. I was around a .4 for a long time during the closed beta and clawed up to a .8
I am a logi now, but I now sport a 1.0 KDR. I feel as though I am getting better and better. There are a lot of guys here who have a rather large head start. I don't think I'll ever be an elite player, but I sure have a lot of fun. The great thing about this game is that you can find a role to fit your strengths.
I don't have elite aiming skills, but I recently found the mass driver. I am good at "kentucky windage" and I've found that I'm good at estimating the arc required to put effective rounds on target. I don't pile up kills with it, but I can stop a rush around a corner or get the laser rifles behind cover while teammates flank them.
Find a role. Become a cloaky scout that hacks and plants explosives. You have a ton of options. |

I feel like this should be a sticky. This can be intended for players who doubt that they will not get any better in this game. An inspirational guide if you will. |

least this dude admits it
the rest who wanted the weapon range nerfed are codbois who THINK they are skilled gamers.
take away their protoad gear and fix the rifles and then they get knocked around.
give em protoad suits and take away range and they clap hands happy happy hands.
but at least the op can admit what others can't handle to say.

+1 tbh iam pretty much the same, only got the ps3 for dust close to the end of the closed beta, and its the first ever fps i've played.
"A good player with an assault rifle can kill me at their maximum range in the time it takes me to line up a shot with a sniper rifle", this is still true for me..
Keep at it, you'll have your good days and your bad days as do we all.

Why is Halo to blame for bunny hopping when both Quake and Unreal preceded Halo by 5 years? |
