I think it would be quite helpful if, when "dead," teammates with nanite injectors showed up as either a different color or blinked. That way you could easily judge when to let yourself die or not. Simply saying triage unit in vicinity isn't very helpful. I don't know if this could potentially be considered OP but I doubt it given that all it does is help you gauge when to give up on someone as opposed to sitting around for 20 seconds and then letting yourself die as someone runs toward you to save you.
--Edit-- I hope this hasn't been mentioned before.I did a quick search before posting and couldn't find anything. If it has been mentioned before then opps. |

I see where you're going with this. Perhaps a "call-back" feature where pressing square with a nanite injector out pings your location, just like asking for help when down. |

I think that could work pretty well. There's nothing else you can do with an injector out so it should work. Maybe even instead of blinking just display them as a red cross. That pretty generically shouts "medic." |

This could be useful. Knowing who has a nanite injector would make things easier. |

Good call. It would be great since it seems I'm one of the only mercs that actually uses them. Perhaps this would cause mercs to actually wait for a revive instead of respawning the second you actually get to their corpse. Maybe different icons for different injectors? One for the 30%, the 50%, and the 80? |

yes it wuild be quite usefull for us logibro's i often am ontop of a ally who preses release right when im grabing for my nanite injecter after disposing of the enemy they dident bleed out cause the time they where down was tops 10 seconds sometime's even less in the end losing bye 3 clone's cause 8 time's they released right before you revive them is quite displeasing |

Yep, usefull! Thumps up.
EDIT: Maybe a function like know from Wolfenstein: Enemy Territory.
If you died and a medic is near you, you watched through his eyes. Like spectator mode. If there were more then one, then the nearest medic was shown. It was really comfortable because you could better judge the entire situation.
Something like: - Where is he and can he reach me? - Are there enemies? How many? Can he defeat them? - Why is it taking so long? Maybe he falls asleep or is on low battery on wireless mouse... - Does he even recognized me?! |

I agree here. If the medics appeared as a different color or symbol when you died, people could go "oh I see a medic is running my way on my mini-map. I will wait for him to get to me before respawning." |

This definitely needs to be implemented. A really like how MAG did it where everybody who could res had a red cross next to their name and when you're bleeding out, you could pivot the camera to see if a medic was coming your way. |

That would be a good idea. Or only players with NI's would show up on your mini map. So you would no if you see none on your map to circle up.
I would also like to have dead players have there names show even when downed. So in team chat I could say " Bob don't bleed out I'm almost there" or something to that effect. I usually just say "guy by C don't bleed out" and a lot of times that could be a lot of different people. |

Always bleed out if you see the Triage msg. Always. If you wait, the time you waited is subtracted from the time it takes to spawn back in. Have faith in us LogiBros that KNOW what we are doing. If the 'Stand by, Triage' msg is on your screen then THERE IS A LOGI NEAR YOU. That being said, as we ALL know, just because a logi is close to you does NOT mean that they will come pick you up. It kills me when I am down and see a logi run right over my body and NOT pick me up. It's one thing if coming for downed team mate means you will just get killed, or that the team mate will catch a bullet from the same sniper that dropped them in the first place but... If you are going to run logi, and want to really EARN the right to call yourself a LogiBro, then do the job and do it well. Stack that isk, earn those orbitals, win the |

Something on the radar to signify that they are carrying a nanite injector, like a little cross or something. |

Right I think this would be great. Being the special kind of person that's willing to play a game like Eve, or Dust in this case, I think we should stay in the realm of "realistic." Some of the ideas floating around, like following a medic once you die, or a pivot camera don't really make too much sense and could at times be a bit too powerful. However the thought that the radar simply has a different dot to represent who is carrying a ninite injector is really awesome and very much within the realm of realistic put forth by Dust.

I really like the name idea. The main reason I suggested this is that as a guy who always runs around with an injector it's annoying as all hell when people don't wait for the firefight to end before letting go. Having their name would be really useful so you could tell them not to die.

And of course all of this implies that you aren't playing with idiots. Of course you should always wait if there is someone nearby. Something like this though could show you the medic running towards you from a klick away or that in the group fighting to your left there are a few medics and, once they finish their fight they might come and help you. I'm just looking for that little extra bit of confirmation that a, lets people know you care and b, helps you better decide when to give up waiting for a res. Most likely it doesn't matter how much help you give the random guy in your squad most likely he'll still just respawn but if some little extra bit of confirmation is there it could really help out. |

This could also be useful when you need armor repping, ppl with repair tool, should be higlighted, and when one gets repaired, it show show up something in the HUD because ppl sometimes don't notice and they move, they sprint, and when you rep you cannot sprint... |

I'm in favour of this and more. At the moment, I have no idea what the rest of my team is running 90% of the time. Everyone even looks the same, outside of a heavy, and weapons have little differentiation visually. Can we get icons all the time for our squad off to the side for instance? The icon could be determined by what they are carrying, so injectors would be a little cross, snipers could have a crosshair, AV kits would get a blast icon...
At the moment in the warroom I look at people's default and hope they play it. |
