No, I understand completely. It's not fair that people have to make any effort to hide their personal information, you're absolutely right, The world is not a fair place. Nor will anything in this thread change that. Protect yourself first, if that involves changing your voice while on the internet, so be it. This is absolutely NO different than not sharing your real name on the internet.
Honestly it seems like quite a few vocal people in this thread subscribe to the mantra that 'if you're not part of the solution, you're part of the problem!' And that's just simply not true. You, Myself, nor anyone can be held accountable for something they didn't do.
Report, obfuscate, and move on. It's a valid solution, even if the victim has to make 'extra effort' to do so. Sorry if that that makes x person feel less privileged, or if it offends you, but again, welcome to the internet. Protect yourself. |
