Maybe make it so if you TK 5-7 or so people in one match, you are flagged as a "traitor", and for the rest of the match, both teams see you as red, (and you see both teams as red) and maybe make it so they can only spawn in default/static spawn points? or if you're feeling generous, random spawn points. maybe make it so they can't hack stuff? (preventing them from taking spawn points/emplacements/objectives, but still allowing them to blow them up.)
Traitors would not be able to win the game, possibly not even lose (but that is confusing) However, they could still earn points from killing, they would gain no isk (breach of contract), They would be able to salvage, but they would be marked as traitors until that game ends (or maybe for a pre-determined timeframe, say 30 minutes for first offence, possibly stackable/cumulative?) possibly even have a "times marked as traitor" kind of stat on their player cards (or whatever the dust version of an API will be).
the kicker is, traitors would be blue to other traitors (honor amongst thieves etc) though killing another traitor would still warrant points, and count as a kill. maybe make it interesting and say, kill 10 traitors, you get your spot back on your team, but one more TK turns you back... but thats complicated coding.
I feel this method keeps it fair, while also keeping it rather sandbox. |

I am personally not a fan of that.
Let's look at it from this perspective. Suppose I'm a wealthy capsuleer hiring mercenaries to take over a rival's factory on surface.
If you go ahead and betray my team like that, You're either malicious, or incompetent. Either way, You're off my team, and my payroll. Why would I continue to activate clones with your conciousness? I'd eject you from Tac-net. |

simply dont count clones traitors use? furthermore, I believe betrayal should have a valid impact. just kicking the player is far too carebear. IMO, make high sec NPC contracts FF off, to give newbies/carebears a "safe" place to farm.
edit: Possibly make the traitors have to pay ISK each time they spawn? |

I do like the idea but honestly i dont think that CCP will do much to prevent TKing beyond giving the commander a notice. That way its up to the commander to deny access to clones. EVE is is not a nice place |

I can only hope you are right. far too many sallies crying for carebear pussification like VTK etc. I hope CCP stands firm here. there HAS to be a risk to not being able to trust your team, otherwise, why not just play another generic FPS? I want the EVE sandbox in my DUST. |

A bit concerned with letting traitors run around the battlefield on your own tacnet, as stated earlier. More to the point though, as innovative as the idea of 'traitor-branding' is, the consequences are fairly severe. Friendly fire happens, and in drawn out battles it'll happen a lot. The idea of killing other traitors to get back on your own team... Would work wonderfully in any other game, but not DUST. Just doesn't make sense I'm afraid.
Sorry I don't have any constructive criticism to give, but I hope my perspective gives you some insight. |

Hi-security won't allow FF like current mechanics. Either that, or there'd be a booting-system in place for those that do.
In low/null, FF will be turned off. Not sure if it will affect FacWar when they get around to it, but it will be an interesting thing to see such direct backstabbing. If I was a commander in low/null, I would like to be able to switch TACNET's color-indicator on a specific player - not just to ID betrayers ("traitor" is a strong word for New Eden), but to show the spy that you can keep alive. Being a TACNET, the enemies' view of that player will not switch, they will still view as normal - letting the spy continue to spy, and the betrayer to be caught in the crossfire. |

I don't really like this idea, I can see myself and maybe a friend go on alt accounts and wreak havoc on pub matches, for fun. I think this needs a little more thought. |

this
this is a problem with a free game with the ability to make lots of different accounts
you can create and account now wait a month or so for the passive SP to build up and then when/if they let people TK they will be more advanced than the newbies so can run amock and so if you loose isk or get kicked or marked, who cares its an alt
you will probs have lots more
this is whey i think they should implement it in corp battles as you know who is on your team and if you get betrayed it is for a reason and not for ***** and giggles |

well TKers should be allowed to play how they want, even if that means eventually joining games as a red dot to everyone, because your security status is so low. |
