just hear me out, so as i was board and had some money on hand i want skill book shoping buyed a most of the skill books i can get and dump my skill points more or less evenly and tested the hmg and going to test few others as well, now i have not played a lot a shooters after the "golden days"( if you will) but this gun has no delay i mean non at all and i was able to get my first blood more or less right out of the gate now i just started using it but maybe a delay of sort like a real hmg or gattling gun would at least keep the qqing on the down low other wise it seems like a fair gun (and i keep in mine that i have 154 deaths and 19 kills so i may not be the best to judge)

A few people have mentioned the lack of a firing delay. The HMG has a cointerrotaion system that offsets the torque caused by the barrels spoiling up to full speed almost instantly. This is why the gun suffers a noticible loss of accuracy when you start first start firing.

It's illogical to say there's a rock paper scissors mechanic of any kind working here. Any weapon can take out any weapon. Heavies give an advantage to that weapon, and that advantage best serves the HMG who uses raw firepower to mow down enemies at a decent distance. There's a certain way every heavy needs to play to be consider decent - and guess what, with the maps out right now it's very easy to figure out corners = you ganna mess people up. If every map was wide open terrain we wouldn't be seeing any of these damn QQing session for nerfing the HMG. You'd be laughing at our fat asses trying to get closer to make it nearly as effective as the AR.

If you want a decent complaint to the HMG - ask CCP the statistics to the maps that show what weapon where is killing and discover if it's truly OP or people are morons coming to close to them in closed areas.

i would not say it was qq jerkfest sota it was more me going by what it fealt like being a heavy for the frist time not the best way to test some thing but not the worse ether

I wouldn't take it personally man. The internet can be a pretty nasty place.

That being said, you really ought to test stuff out outside of pubmatches. Blueberries have a tendency to run headfirst into everything and get shot full of holes no matter what the enemy is using.
