Dunno, but since its not excluding dusters, im assuming its an event (maybe one zionshad was contacted over? Probably) to get eve participating with dust

. From the trailers, I'd say, yeah, the rogue drones (escaped and self-replicating AI ships) that have plagued the spacelanes of New Eden for a decade have made planetfall within Caldari space and the military is having a tough time containing them.
So, sharpen your Nova Knives, boys and girls! There are bugs to be squashed and bounties to be made!

as hopeful as your suggestion aims to be it is not rouge drones. rouge drone infestations have never before caused such massive panic in any empire. CCP has a knack for making fiction around current player events and politics. Additionally this is a way to help eve and dust players have an epiphany about the current integration. This is a simple dissenting faction within the caldari who have hired out mecrs to do fighting. The fact that 3 of the biggest caldari mega corporations have made a statement means they are covering their tracks. But whom would they be covering for?

The last time the caldari mobilized into their own space the gallente when on a heightened state of alert. But they didn't mobilize there titan wings. The gallente are full defcon 1 they are scared but why? Mordu's Legion made a statement to the scope and said GÇ£The Legion is always looking for new military technology and resources. The potential of these new soldiers for mercenary work is not being overlooked.GÇ¥

If the caldari have lost control of the legion who Ishukone funds weapons to along with the rest of the caldari would incur a full scale mobilization of the gallente. But knowing the Legions loyalty to the state and there hatred for the gallente Mordu would never risk severing ties. This is a rouge unit of legionnaires doing merc work on several different planets.

no not even sansha has the least bit to do with this. All it is, is fiction to introduce something new to eve and now dust. This doesn't mean its drones, sansha's, or even what i was talking about. This is just a smiple way of raising hype in the community and what do you know it worked! I was simply talking about where this story could lead to next in terms of fiction.

Quote:All the empires are scared of whatever this is, not just the Gallente. The Gallente are obviously twitchy at a massive deployment of Caldari forces, so mobilizing the Titan wings (or battlegroups, flocks, herds, or whatever the best term is for a group of Titans other than "Dear Lord, align for the out gate!") makes some sense, but I get a feeling that whatever this is, it is new and scaring the hell out of the Empires.the Amarr Navy and Minmatar Navies have also gone on to heightened alert schedules
But the following phrases make me think that this is Dust related:

Quote:Caldari Marines were reportedly deployed across dozens of temperate planets within the State and its controlled territories. Unconfirmed reports of planetary bombardment were also widespread, though none could be verified as of press time.
Temperate planets. Dust battles are fought only on the Temperate planets of New Eden, so limiting the threat to temperate worlds seems to indicate that the threat will be met by Dust troops.

Widespread planetary bombardment. Not even during the Sansha incursions were there reports of this.

Normally, I'd go with an upgraded Sansha threat, but since the last two Dust Trailers (Way of the Mercenary and Gathering Forces) have both made strong references to rogue drones, I'm going to go with that.

The lack of MegaCorporate involvement in this puzzles me, though. Ishukone, in particular, should be involved, if for no other reason than to provide humanitarian support on the bombarded planets.

Yeah after reading the 2nd most recent post on their news article site it also talks about "newly emerging ground forces" and goes on to discuss how we're so awesome and blah blah blah, all and all, i do think that half of it is fiction for lore's sake, and the other half is a hint into an actual game-plan for the coming months or maybe even weeks. Taking into account Eve's incredible catering to customer satisfaction, i expect these articles not to just be a dead-end in hype, but something a little more meaningful, at least

Ahem. For those of you who don't know too much, we had to purge our clone generations a few times they had some defects and many of us had to get all of our training reset and all memories associated with those experiences. Many of the gen 1s went crazy, misguided, rambling, painting walls in their clone's blood. What Mordu and the Empires didnt want to admit to us is that a large number of the Gen 1s where not, deactivated. They escaped....

Gen 2s didn't fare much better. Gen 3s where the start of using Amarrian technologies and Gen 4s are fully reversed engineered amarrian implants made clean of any possible tricks.

This what is believed to be causing the mayhem now. There have now been two attempts of Tibus Heath's Life by an Immortal Soldier so far, it would not surprise me if a third is being attempted now.
