Its a great map, properly balanced, so no further testing required. They've therefore removed it so that we can concentrate on testing the other maps and bringing those up to the same standard.
Or, just pure CCP derp? |

Skim is one of the maps that i've noticed people tend to have big frame rate issues on...maybe something to do with that? |

Or, just pure CCP derp? If anything skim has MORE problems with it, as it has been removed before. maps like the table top map, that we have been playing for the last 6 months straight, would be the one most thoroughly tested. |

If thats the reason, why cant they just explain why they are removing it? It would take them less than 10 words. Better yet how about replacing it with something fresh that we can "test" |

Also ambush and ambush OMS.
Splitting the base though not likely to have much impact me thinks.
And can anyone else taste the the vehicle spam to ensue in the non OMS ambush mode?

So what is left in rotation, then - Manus Peak and Harvest Line?
We've been playing on Harvest Line for 6 months and it's gotten stale. At least Manus Peak got redone and it's a rather enjoyable map now. |

This^^ Plus it was also one of the sound bugged maps. Almost everytime I got into the corner where A is located (the broken part of wall you can come through), my sound will glitch out on me and stutter in and out. Could be another reason.

I'm pretty shocked at mst of the comments here. Anyone who's beta'd the game more than a few months knows that it's full of glitches/memory leaks. It's one of the few maps I actually drift running abut as a scout. Let alone the frame skips and outright freezes we get.
I can't honestly believe CCP put it back in rotation for open beta without even testing it. It still has major issues.... |

Interesting as I've never had issues on this map. It's one of the two maps from the early days of ambush in DUST. If anything you'd think there wouldn't be any problems with this maps since it's been around so long. It's one of my favorite maps as it's all close quarters combat. Without it there's really only one map left that is close quarters. |

maybe, but should maps really need individual testing? I thought the maps were all just random generated. when there's thousands of planets with more maps than we have now on each one, chances are we may never see the same map again. I hope they don't just copy paste maps across the universe |

The instant battle maps should be pre arranged like Skim Junction as to best afford a balanced/fair fight. Worlds you own and battles that actually have a difference to the EVE Universe well there a different kettle of fish altogether. |

This is kind of disappointing as we only just got this map back a few weeks ago (I have not had any trouble with it since its return) after it was pulled from skirmish before, one of my favorite maps period. Hate to see content removed just as we go open beta. |

or maybe its the glitching so-and-so's glitching into roofs and other "unhittable" locations? kinda like the big towers on line harvest... OB's go right through them, making it a relatively safe sniper spot. |
