I do this all the time.
Let me let you all in on the joke: I'm not really playing.
I'm just joining battles to accrue ISK and SP. If I happen to look up and see someone about to kill me, I might lob a grenade at them. IF not, oh well.... |

How about the game of not dying??
'Nam minefield. ,Nam punji stick field.
IED and someone has a deadman trigger.
Or a walk in Irak, Iran, etc and you hear CLICK!! then its very wise to stay perfectly still and hope an EOD tech is on the way??

I did that a few times because I was used to triangle being the weapon switch button in games like BF:BC2. It took me awhile to get over it.

Coming from Resistance 2 Co-Op (loved it), Mass Effect 1 and Borderlands 1+2 Co-Op, having to actually dodge stuff is strange.
E.g. in Mass Effect 1 (single player) all you need to do is run at the enemies firing your shotgun, and they go away before you take any significant damage. In R2, you just crouch behind the soldier's shield, or you drop one yourself (who didn't love having an Auger), and you're good.
Unfortunately, it it seems that in competitive FPSes, the mechanics from single-player and Co-Op doesn't translate very well... |

I was watching a buddy snipe and when he shot at a running target it would stop and stand there and wait for him to kill them. I love it when they stop and do a 360 before deciding to move off. I always let them move again before finishing them off, I like to keep my eye in for moving targets. |

In my dealings with them i found that they had this weird sort of reaction when i started to shoot at them, this reactions well...... they just stand still and start shooting back. No "juking" no "strafing" no jumping or running, just standing still and taking it. Has anyone else encountered this new disease? how do you think its spreading? (because surely none of our veterans taught them that) whats the best way to cure it? is it catching on to you? i need some answers here people, because this is going to be a serious problem in the future if we dont fix it now!
Hehehe, I love it when I'm in my alts tank and they form a circle around me and just stand there not moving and shoot me with AR's from 5 feet away.
I've never seen anything like it, I just sit there and take it until I feel so bad that putting them outta their misery seems like the only right thing to do. |

It's because all of the people who are actually good at FPS can afford to buy better games. No selfrespecting gamer is going to invest time into playing something as bad as this. What you're likely encountering is little kids. |
