I like this idea, and have supported it in every online game I play. There always should be a 'mercenary' type of mode for people who want to go solo, and then another mode for those that want to squad up.
I have been doing a lot of soloing lately, I've had dozens of chances each night to play with corp players (there is a constant flow of RF1/RF2 in the various corp/chat channels) but sometimes I just want to run on my own and not have to care about anybody other than myself. It's sometimes quite difficult to get even teams, every so often I always seem to end up as the only name-brand corp player on one side vs many other corps that are squad up, and they are players that I know are quite good. So if I stay, I know I will get dominated and lose many suits. Not my idea of fun.
So while it is possible to end up on unbalanced teams with a solo only mode, it definitely lessens the chances by a huge degree. |

WHY?! WHY CAN I NOT LIKE MORE THAN ONCE?!?!?!?!
There is absolutely nothing wrong with this idea. and the "solo deploy" would appear to solve all arguments. If you're a blueball and you can't stand the thought of grouping up with friends and getting redlined because all your friends go 0-15 as well, then maybe you and your friends should stay in a chat with a UVT, and just q separately.
How is it fair that you can choose to solo queue into my game with my friends and make us loose, but it's not fair that we should be able to queue into a game with a full team, or several full squads, and go up against other people who enjoy playing with friends, and having a much better chance to win?
Corp matches are fun, for sure. But in corp matches, at least for now, you gain absolutely nothing except ISK, which is, lets be honest, not exactly hard to come by. In pub matches, we get to earn SP and gear. So why should team players be restricted to playing with their corp, in corp on corp matches.
I am positive there is no logical reason this should not be a feature. |

Not to mention, corp battles already split people... How do corp battles split the playerbase? Corp matches are fun but not interesting for a dust merc simply cause you get no SP/ISK so its not really appealing to me. Another factor is that the current corp matches are limited to 8 man teams which is stupid. Alot of corps can pull off full teams which we saw on the tourny. And those 32 man matches are epic. |

Pretty 50/50 on this. Deploying a full team will result in a very boring redline game. But having the solo modes is a good plan for newbs/no mics. |

Agreed I think those who disagree, probably just want to padd themselves against the 0-20 newbs While I enjoy this I would much rather have seperate deployment methods and I agree the solo deploy is a good idea but I know people will just Qsync so the can ROFL TROLL newbs |

We have the tools in place to run full squads of 8 if we wish. plus the mention of bigger squads down the road has basically been accepted as fact. If you are really concerned about losing then play corp battles or balance your squad so its not four assault suits. I dont think ive ever seen a SI member running a Logi suit. Adapt or die as they say. My corp is allied with SI, so although I'm not in Seraphim, I've been running with some of their guys recently in a Logi suit. So when you see me on the field next time, consider that I'm with SI. @OP - I have mixed feelings about the suggestion, mostly because, as I've mentioned, I am not directly affiliated with SI, and our corp is so small now that we don't even run corp battles. However, it makes sense, since, if there are such options, lone wolfs will stay in solo matches, while large groups will duke it out between themselves. This actually might be even a better idea than simply linking squads, because when such team invade pub matches, there will be a huge possibility of scaring people away. All in all, personally I'm fine with the current system... I've been noticing that a well-balanced squad that earns a lot of WP on foot can easily lead the team to victory. I've lost only one battle while running in a SI squad, and even managed to drop two OBs in a match when being a leader. But of course, larger squads would be greatly appreciated. BTW, it's really great running with members of Seraphim Initiative. Yo Nex! glad to see you around |

Yes to 16 vs 16 or more corp matches.
As for Team deployment it is really bad idea unless it will be treated as a private virtual match - no SP no ISK maybe no dropsuits lost.
"Other" shooters shown that such a funcionality is a bad thing for a general player base and good thing for cheaters. PUB games are called PUB for a reason.
So while your squad is doing 90% of work it's getting 90% of warpoints and kills. If we have 4 corp squads on even level in a pub match you will get less than playing solo and already boring match will be even worse. Redlining is not fun and not a challenge. |

I have a couple of things to say.
Firstly, I gave a like to the OP, because I want full team deployment to come sooner rather than later - but I don't think it's reasonable (or necessary) to DEMAND it. Just keep the pressure up to let them know we want it to happen. Also worth mentioning, my own corp/friend group is significantly smaller than a full team, so when going against a group from one of the larger corps, having this option would be a liability for me, personally. But it would still be a benefit to enough players that I ant to see it happen.
Secondly, replying to this:
The dark cloud wrote:Every other game allows you to fill a whole team. Be it MAG, COD or even Homefront. You should really keep in mind that several COD games and many other FPS games spend a large portion of their beta without proper matchmaking and without the ability to form a team. Assassin's Creed: Revelations shipped without the ability to put a group together and actually have any confidence that you'll end up on the same team. Transformers: Fall of Cybertron frequently glitches out and splits up grouped players across both teams instead of keeping them together. MAG (one of your examples) shipped WITHOUT any option for team deployment, that was a much later addition to the game.
DUST is still in beta. I'm hoping (actually expecting) that there will be team deploy options implemented before the final release of the game. It's a core part of what people want out of the game, and it would be kind of stupid to leave out. |

Dunno man. I mean a lot of the time I think it'd just be the Corps like Imps, PFB, ourselves and a couple of other groups trying to stomp on another while everyone else is in their own solo matches not willing to come near us all :(
Corp Battles need fixing so we can actually have some good matches instead of 8v8 (what **** is that?) |

yeah right the feedback section. When you make a topic there it dissapears to the 6th page within 15 mins cause every moron thinks he can "request" everything. A demand turns on more attention and obviously im not the only one who wants this feature implemented. I just speak out that what serious players think. Main problems at the moment for masive social gaming: -4 man squads which are way to small -no option to team up with more then 1 squad (except the luck based Q-syncing) -16 man corp matches which are just stupid as hell (should be 32 like on the tourny) -not beeing aible to form squads extreme fast by inviting people from chatrooms -no solo entry playlist where teams/squads are disaibled (for lonewolf players)
Si has most of the time more then 12 players online (except late in the night) and im fed up that i cant use valuable corperation members on the same team (except squads). Which leads to the infamous blueberrys where it is a gamble if they are capable or not. As it is now every match is a 50/50 chance of losing or winning a match cause incapable players ruin my win/loss ratio. And with that they have a influence on the corperation win/loss ratio which i cant accept. Corps on eve will mainly be looked at their win/loss ratio and thats the main factor to get hired or not. Im sorry for people who are unable to realise this. If you want to gamble with your win/loss ratio then you can still join the solo entry only matches and pretend teamwork is a nonfactor. This is aswell a way to see if you can get along with a allied corperation or not. Seeing how the mixed team behaves in public matches is a good way to test it. And dont forget that there would be aswell other fully deployed teams with a high chance to encounter a other fully manned team. If you deny my demand then you are just one of those blueberrys who have more deaths then kills. |

It's still the same as MAG. No one played Sabotage with a full 32 unless it was a clan war. It was too easy. 1 squad of "game changers" is all it usually takes to win vs randoms. A really solid enemy squad can change that for sure, but then it's just a 4v4 battle really (rest of players subpar due to gear/sp/skill). Corp matches are there for exactly this kind of thing, but as people have already stated, 8v8 isn't enough.
Roll on 48-64 player games :) Then there might be a good reason to group squads or something. |

Thanks, Darky! Been running with your guys for almost a week now, great impressions, and a lot of ISK. Are you playing these days or not yet?
On topic: ^Tony is most certainly right, I've witnessed it many times. And only when there is another balanced squad on the other end, then battles usually turn into close calls. Personally, I feel like lone wolfs that queue into group matches will be very confident about their skill.
However, I see your point that a full team will most likely decimate several separate squads that have no organization as a team. So I propose to add a third mode here - Team Mode - where your linked four squads will be pitted against other four linked squads. Such team cannot enter any other modes, nor can separate squads enter this mode. Pretty much corp battles with 16vs16, SP rewards, maybe lesser ISK rewards, and a random corp to fight against. |
