In more seriousness, players that spent real money are now hand tied. My boost is not being used, my passive boost was broken. I am an unhappy costumer currently. There has been no time for redemption on Sony's or CCP's part so I will wait first. But there is a bad taste in my mouth.

When your power goes out do you say " Oh man...guess I will get a candle and read my book." Just looking for rendering service. This is the medium and method chosen to receive. Not a big deal. But I would rather not live by candle light if I am not required to.

Yeah, we are in here now and we both played yesterday, so im not sure. Also heard of players not getting in, but restarting PS3 and getting in with no problems. Doc, I was more going along the lines of I am at work while all of this is going on and as long as it works when I get home, I don't really care.

Corp mates having troubles from not being able to log into forums, or Dust 514 or just get online on PS3. Yes its a problem when likely everyone has active boosters right now.

Weird it's not affecting everyone, I can understand if an entire household can't access PSN, but some say their alts or siblings can log in? Now that's odd, which means this is a PSN account problem.

However any attempt to connect to PSN in DUST, or any other game, let alone from the front end, fails with the "Sony Entertainment is currently undergoing maintenance" bit. I think the solution is quite simple. WHEN people are affected by this, and logs will show; CCP could reimburse the sP ammount for the day they missed. The kills, the tears, and the ISK are gone with the wind; however with a system that requires you to log in daily, not allowing you to log in - clearly SP reimbursement is the answer. In EVE ppl complain about SP reimbursement all the time, but they don't get it because that's not how EVE works. Here, however, we are dependant on SONY to let us log in. I'm quite certain DUST is running fine, but PSN is not. Their forrums are ablaze with people crying over this right now.

I logged into the forum before the maintenance and left my browser open, so I'm able to post here. I also was logged into my PS3 and Dust and left it on and didn't sign out, but I got kicked off my connection. Just got a message saying my connection was lost and now I can't login on my PS3. I did purchase an active booster. It wasn't much money, but still Sony should be more proactive about reimbursing people who spent actual dollars to buy an active booster which I have now lost two full days out of seven on. I contacted support for Sony and of course they say they cannot do anything to help me. I'm pretty sure they could reimburse me if they chose to. BTW, new message says now down until 1/19 2am PDT. It just keeps getting pushed out further every few hours or so. I work on IT releases as a Project Manager for a large company and anytime we have to do maintenance and it impacts customers negatively, we are proactive about taking measures to insure they are not out financially. So I'm loosing my patience with Sony.

EDIT: remember that CCP is giving out 100,000 SP to people who log into games before the 22nd, so you've got that to look forward too.
