Agreed. i decided to spam every thread about nades as much as nades are spammed in the game. I seriously CCP goes back to the standard 5 sec fuse time very quickly.... Coz i can only imagine how worse it's gonna get with M1 nades, or the combination Flux\MD......
Runs, throws flux at feet that blows in 2 sec with 8m radius..... draws MD, aims at feet and kills lotadudes...... => Didnt aim even one second |

What I can't figure out is why those reds keep trying to shoot me while standing right next to a grenade?
It's almost like they didn't get the memo that I decided to deny them that area. |

Agreed. NadeSpam is getting old and detracting from the game. Please fix before open beta, CCP.
Everything is fine except for the timer. Make cooking necessary for insta-nade kills. 3 Second default should be fine. |

+1 to the OP. The change to 2sec impact fuses has messed up so many games for me in Dust. Where I used to get killed by a grenade and think that that was a well executed throw and maybe cook, now it's just a joke. Yes, there is still skill in the throw but the real skill comes from having it explode at the perfectly timed moment. This has been the only change to the game so far that I'm in disagreement with. Bring back the 4sec user armed fuses. |

This is an interesting point. When we scope in on someone (iron sights, mind you), up onto our HUD comes some very pretty information about the person and how easy the kill is going to be, not to mention their name so you know who you just killed so you can apologise to the grieving family.
So why is there only a small icon above enemy grenades that is hardly visible instead of a giant blinking 'holy kitten there's a grenade to your left move the other way' sign on this amazing HUD interface. |

Swarms could dumb-fire, and were pretty effective against infantry. HMG had the range and accuracy of a maxxed-out skillshooter AR, Heavies had more base HP than they do now, Remote Explosives could be thrown and insta detonated for an insta-kill against other players (this was before thukker grenades, and the current short-fuse grenades) our guns had optics, scouts could 1v4 heavies and assaults, etc, etc

troll, sorry but its true. if you had played last build and this you would see they now have a two second timer and that ridiculous throwing mechanic that begs to be abused. that is a major buff, even scouts have trouble getting out of the way of a grenade.
OP is right, the bright side is that everyone is rocking them instead of AV nades so LAV drivers are stupid right now and every one secrambles to get out of the way when you throw any grenade. |

Grenades are ridiculous. I find it more frustrating that all I ever get killed by is grenades, yet I cannot for the life of me seem to land a throw. If I do manage to get a hit marker, the guy walks out of it like it was just a rough night. |

Those were the good ol' days. Um... There are high damage dumbfire swarm launchers on the market, and the prototype remote mines have the old timer. That was just before remote mines had levels. |

I heard that later on fuse grenades (the ones that blow up on contact) will be able to be bought with isk. That sounds terrible, unless something about them is changed because they're.. just, ridiculous. It's annoying how right now you can only get them by buying a merc pack, the most ridiculous weapon in the game and it's obtainable only by AUR. A little bit of pay to win there IMHO, for now anyway. It'll be great when people can get the fuse grenades with isk, oh just lovely, I can only imagine how much I'll be swearing. :) |

Dust is not a FPS it is now a FPT(first person thrower).
People are confounding two different arguments. A confounder is a variable that masks the effect of the variable that you are attempting to analyse in case you don't know.
Few if ANY people complain about grenade damage or radius, some may but MOST DO NOT.
The variable in question the one that has made nades become the new FOTM is the 2 SEC TIMER(and IMO the nade physics--the way they skip). The moment they touch the ground they detonate in 2s, the physics compensate for a short throw by skipping and by the time the 2s are up the nade is even closer making it almost impossible to avoid(especially since you cant sprint backwards).
Threads on the nades existed before the wipe and have been popping up ever since chromosome released where they specially note that nade detonates x seconds after contact unless cooked.(the x is 2s we know this now).
This was likely done with regards to QQ over fused locus nades which blow up on impact(in fact those are actually worse than 2s nades because they arent forgiving on a poor throw). If you make a poor toss on the fused it blows up right away, if you make a poor toss on the regular locus nades they hop and blow up 2s later making them even more forgiving for unskilled players.
The argument made by many isnt that nades should be reduced in damage or radius,(again some will make this argument in response to the nadespam but they dont consider the true variable that creates this current state of beta)
Unequivocally it is the 2s timer for which grenades need to be changed. The timer MUST go back to 4-5s on contact with ground UNLESS COOKED. This reduces panic nading and forces players to develop SKILL IN NADE TOSSING. There is a difference.
Edit- They also noted that thukkar locus nades were made available in market with chromosome but it is not there, so i wonder if this current iteration is what they want to do with the thukkar and are simply only making this one variation avaliable to us for data gathering purposes(fingers crossed). |

honestly, always did in every fps ever played... i mean it's the most common thing to throw a grenade when you'r covered then get out and shoot. I thinks grenades are perfect, maybe there's a problem with grenade spamming, but again it's common in every FPS so I can't understand why all this rage
