This is a problem that's endemic with every single shooter that's pretty much ever been made.People feel like they shouldn't ever get killed by less skilled players,no matter what they kill them with,especially if it's a one on one situation.Now throw in factors of having higher character skills where you are pushing out more damage with your gun.For players like that,to get killed by a grenade probably feels like a slap in the face.
Just wait until the maps are littered with REs and people are getting constantly killed by that.There will certainly be another outpouring of QQ'ers claiming that they are OP as well and begging for them to be nerfed. |

I love the new throwing mechanics and grenades hit less invisible walls... And now that the OP mentioned it, it does seem pretty dumb that Militia nades deal so much damage.
Personally I think their timer should be increased and damage decreased. |

I would say if you do that,then make the blast radius bigger and accurate to what the specs are.As it is now,if someone is standing six meters from a grenade blast,they aren't going to take a single HP of damage.

There's another type of locus grenade that should be the militia one instead, but I forgot the name. Whatever it is, it can be thrown further, has a larger blast radius, but does much less damage. |

Sleek locus nades, they are unlocked at grenadier lvl 2.
They just really need to look at the damage modifier and radius of grenades all around with the locus ones anyway. There is no reason for them to be as damaging as they are.
If CCP wants crowd control that is what shotties and MD's are for.
The MD has more than enough explosive damage but they arent fully effective against shields like nades are, also part of the problem is the way nades slide and skip quite a bit, so ppl can quick toss and because of the short timer what ends up happening is ppl throw them at their feet they slide like a shuffleboard chip and in the 2s it ends up right at your feet.
That btw isnt due to skill anyone can do it simply look down and quick down nades it works nearly every time in CQC.
I think another issue is the ROF of nade quicktossing, i think if there was a slightly longer delay b/w nade quicktossing that would also reduce the rapid fire tosses you see, i mean i can unload 2-3 nades faster than i can fire 2 MD shots sometimes. |

Don't see how anyone can say that the 2 sec contact timer is a good thing. On top of that nades should take longer to spawn from nano hives and eat up more of the hives total supply. Say a militia nano hive can spawn six militia nades before its depleted, not counting ammo. Better hives more nades it can spawn.

They do take up more clusters as far as i remember, the most i get out of my militia is 6-8(not exactly sure ill test and reedit later). nades out of my bpo hive with no ammo reload for my MD.

TEBOW is exactly right. When people hit B series on average, one hit Milita grenade kills will not happen. Just think of this as a test period for Grenade Jumping 101. |

The only thing that needs to be done to the nades:
Give us back the 4 sec fuse. Spamming will be almost useless, we will have time to dodge them now.
This will reward the players who cook, aim and time the nades properly, as they should be.
There is nothing more that can be said on the matter. Damage, blast radius, basically everything is ok, except for the fuse time. |

Valid tactics my kitten. They're weapons and we use them. I kill grenade spammers EASILY because guess what they're doing? Aiming a grenade at me. I have the time to dodge the grenade AND shoot them in the head.
Maybe I'm just God-Mode tho...
Oh and grenades should stay as is. Why? Because grenades are explosive weapons. We have some good armor but not so good that shrapnel and explosions don't do monster damage to us. The higher the grenade means the wider and deadlier they are. That goes for everything. You can get something cheap and use it effectively (E.G. AK-47) or you can get a costly weapon that shoots faster, preciser, and has more damage.
You don't "need" higher stuff to win but they raise your chances a fair amount imo. |

I generally agree, as one of the few that specced into proto nades and used them well. I still would like to see the 2 sec fuse gone though, it just leads to a too nade heavy game. I'm getting tired of almost every CQC encounter resulting in massive nade spam. |

And IMO this is the first time the anti-infantry grendades are good. They were mediocre at the best (Ignoring Thukkers ofc).
I don't use AI grendes but I'm still happy to see them in use finally. Even though I'm pissed when being killed by "Loser's Grenade"... =P |

The fact that people can turn around and hit L2 in panic and get a instant kill with a militia nade is pretty bad IMHO. Reminds me of remote explosives when they were out of hand. Started yesterday and have already run into plenty of people who play like their militia locust grenades are their main weapon. Sad really. When people start doing that I know there's an imbalance.
Pretty much the only thing I have against the game now. Not that I always die by them, hell I use them too, I just think they're a bit ridiculous. I think the 4 second fuse would be perfect.
Not that I'm not enjoying my free kills, but come on now. |

Also, grenades ONLY blow up when it hits something. I threw a few high up in the air but nothing happened until it touched the ground so cooking a grenade doesn't appear to work either. |

This, again! No good arguments for 2 sec contact timer. And I know I can cook a nade, have done it to see if how long I can cook for, exploded in my hand. And cooking and throwing works too. |

Don't penalize the nanohive carriers for grenade spamming team-mates using up all the nanite clusters. |
