On the 15th of Jan ZionTCD is Joining Gallente Faction Warfare on both EVE and DUST 514.
So the Question is what side will you fight for or are you going for who ever pays.
Gallente vs Caldari
Amarr vs Minmatar
Quote:Does the DUST 514 mercenary's corporation have to enroll in FW to accept these contracts? The DUST merc's corporation does NOT have to be enrolled in FW to accept these contracts. DUST CEOs/Directors can accept a contract from any faction at any time (even if the EVE side of their corp is enrolled in FW on the other side or if the corp has bad standings with that faction! If our EVE side takes 'donations' for taking NPC FW contracts, is that ISK accesible in DUST? Is the DUST wallet separate from the EVE wallet? If not, what mechanic is CCP going to use to prevent internal ISK transfers?
P.S. Going Gallente, and ALLLLL those Ammar-dominated FW systems. A Matari merc's dream come true. |

I was just wondering about this. As far as eve is concerned a Dust corp is an Eve corp is a Dust corp...there's no distinction. In fact, the Subdreddit guys will be joining a corp tomorrow that was created over 8 months ago in eve. They must have some kind special wallet in the corporation assets for isk generated within Dust, which is the only wallet a director in Dust can access for distrubuting isk to mercs. Without that there would be no way to prevent transfer between the games.
Now....what this might mean is that you can still accept isk from eve, but you have to *spend* it within eve. For example, buying destroyers for orbital support or paying faction warfare corps to provide support. |

Quote:So, for this first release, any ISK transfer between EVE and DUST characters will be blocked. This will then be replaced by a taxable transfer mechanism with the intention of easing the currency control to 0% and removing it entirely once we are happy the economies have reached an equilibrium. http://community.eveonline.com/devblog.asp?a=blog&nbid=74180
This means there will be Two wallet types in Corp (Eve & Dust sides) in the case of ZionTCD a division in our EVE wallet will be made to save Dust related funds that will be distributed to Dust Mercs once the ability is granted.
I will be speaking with CMDR WANG on Saturday about Corp UI changes to come. The Interview will be out on iTunes short after along with a blog by me to go with. |

Yea it looks that way, but this was a deal struck months ago before Caldari lost a good chunk of their systems. I have post on this forum to back it.
Seek Caldari backing for Corps to aid them. This is all great steps in being accepted by Capsuleers. |

Faction warfare will always be poorly balanced simply because of the story backgrounds, who wants to be a religious zealot who owns slaves when you can be a cool freedom fighter with dreadlocks and the best pvp ships in the game. |

You'd be surprised actually. The Amarr have always had less pilots than the Minmatar, but they are generally well organised. The minnies were a disorganised rabble, fighting each other almost as much as the enemy, in part because it attracts people who want to be a cool freedom fighter with dreadlocks.
Also, there's plenty of players/corps that ignore the back story altogether, and chose a faction based on which will give them the most fun. With lower skilled players flocking to successful factions, you often see smaller more experienced groups joining the other side and then fighting quite successfully while heavily outnumbered (giving "good fights").
Over the long term it seems to have been relatively well balanced. |

I was fighting for the amarr while the new system came in where losing control of a system locked you out of station, we were constantly outnumbered all those nubs add up when they are following the orders of a good FC, not to mention having a core of vets.
Either way balance is something for the devs to worry about, pretty sure my corp wants to go gallente, i'll have fought for 3 militias if thats the case, my eve side standings with gallente are terrible lol. |

Minnies were always organized in FW more than the amarr or recent times
Then again i think they had more farmers than PvP pilots tbh
Then after the FW change amarr packed up shop and ran, minnie steamrolled most of it and even if amarr tried to do something the minnie pilots booted up amarr alts and flipped the systems back after they had farmed them

So who gets to set up contracts in FW? Do you have to be a special rank in the militia? Also, what stops a conspiratorial group on the other side from employing a shell corp to throw a battle? |

FW contracts are put out by the NPC corps at the moment - any director or CEO can accept the contracts on your corp's behalf. |

would there be a legitimate way to see what these look like if you aren't a CEO or director of a corp? |
