All I get hit by is grenades that blow up in one second. Now that everyone knows about this broken timer, every 1v1 encounter has some guy throwing it at the feet to easily get kills, dent my shields or kill me in armor. I just want to try out my new Heavy suit but I can't use it without dying at some point by an explosive. I switch to an Assault suit to give less reason for them to use it but they still do so I either am forced to quit the game or bring out my tank and solo the enemy team. |

i was today as gunner in his tank and we allmost got killed by militia swarms and AV grenades. Thats why i wouldnt spec into armor tanks. |

I think it would be a good idea though to have modules to help resist certain types of damage. It would add to the strategic planning of fittings. If the enemy team is using an abundance of mass drivers and missile launchers then having a fit for explosives would be a good idea. But having to fit modules for explosive resistance now means you havn't fit other things such as damage, shields/armour, or even utility mods to try and help mitigate the damage.
While I don't think the OP make thier case in a very constructive manour, I like the idea. |

Dark I got back at 6k Armor with dual hardeners 10 secs later...
I'll try playing some games now, hopefully the grenade spam is toned down a bit. |

What kind of excuse is this to use a tank? People are using nades so you can't play? Aren't you suppose to be an imperfect - headshot them for trying.
I honestly just think it's you. How many people can admit too not paying extra attention to any imperfects on the field. I for one would rather just chuck a nade at you then gunfight.
This coming from a heavy with an AR - not many skilled naders out there. |

You can't argue, nades are ridiculous now. 2/3 times, someone is losing a gunfight... BAM! Just toss your nades and you'll take them with you. Nades were good before. (in terms of timer) If a player was good enough to cook the grenade and kill me with it, so be it. |

Massive framerate spike got me killed below pipes.

Didn't I just say that they spammed this in every gunfight? I always killed them, but they still keep on using grenades on my feet as soon as they see me. Of course I'll bring out my tank. |

Have it bounce on a surface and the timer of 1 sec starts. |

Throwing mechanic has changed. That part was for the better. However, the timer now blows the nade around a second after it hits the ground. Prior builds, the nad had a 2-3sec timer (cant remember) Only way to get it to blow on contact was to "cook" it. |

If I remember right the nades blow up after 2 sec of making contact with anything. The nades are useful now...one must admit they were a joke in all prior builds. Grenades are always dangerous in FPSs. They are very deadly...especially mine. In games with such large maps deadly grenades imo are very important.
Sidenote... I think some players should test nade damage...I thought the miltia nade has dealt more then 400 damage. |

Militia nades are a joke to heavies - way it should be.
But the nades pop after being thrown instantly and touching the ground in 1 second? That's... absurd. Glad I haven't noticed any of that. |

More like a Forge Gun, Swarm launcher and 3 AV grenades. I agree with other poster, we stop what we were doing to kill you once that tank got called up.

As much as I hate grenades too. They are grenades! They are supposed to blow you up.
This is the first build they are actually working they don't need much change.
To all that have a problem with them the only solution I Found is to run at them not back away usually you can get in front of it.
I'll take these grenades any day over the remote explosive debacle. |

Throwing must have gotten hotfixed since the build went up,because the actual throwing is a touch slower than it was when this build was released.
Anyway,I'm about sick of people QQ'ing about grenades because they get killed by them.Adapt of die. |

Personally,I would just take out the cooking mechanic now,and make it where you can actually hold them in your hand as long as you want to,until you are ready to throw them.
MAG had THE best grenade mechanics that I've seen in a FPS,but I'm bias considering that I probably had more frag kills that anyone else in the game. |

Not just grenade but explosive passive skills or modules. Especially since you can miss 6 grenades and still kill someone with the mass driver before having to reload.

You know, I've liked quite a few of the changes made over the life of this game, but not this one. If there is one thing we do NOT need, it's Halo grenades.
If you want to get a kill with a grenade, you should have to factor in the time until detonation, and cook it if necessary. We already have contact fused grenades. |

As I see nades now, they are a weapon for unskilled players to get a 1 up on skilled players. Nades would be fine if the damage values was changed.
MLT Locus = 200 but only can carry 1 STD Locus = 200 can carry 3 ADV Locus = 300 can carry 3 PRO Locus = 400 can carry 3.
Something like that. |

Basically,the thing with locus grenades damage is that they should be the opposite of flux grenades,where they are more effective against armor and less against shields.

Pretty sure nades detonating in a second after throwing them with no **** is a bug or a dev in CCP banged his head on the desk a bit too often trying to figure out balance.
My flux nades have been makin' quick work even out of named players now - somethins different >_> |
