When friendlies are down it's not possible to know how far away they are. The icon displays the same color and size no matter if they are 50m or 300m away.
Would be nice to have some indicator of how far I'll have to run to reach a downed friendly before heading out to revive them. A couple of suggestions I have are color coded icons that go from red to orange to yellow to green as you move toward them. Possibly red could indicate 100m+ , orange could be 75-100m, yellow = 50-75m and green could be <50m away.
Another idea is to simply put a distance meter next to the icon that indicates a downed friendly. |

Oh yes, this.
Just the last battle I had a half dozen instances of nearly leaving the Null Cannon defense only to find the icon is for someone down by the other Null Cannons. Too far to run in my Logi suit and expect them still to be there.
Take it one step further even, I would like to ping the icon from my Logi Suit to see distance and time down or time remaining. Then I could at least try to make a reasonable judgement call. And tell them that specifically I am on the way. |

I remember with MAG it took quite a while after release before Zipper finally added these things to that game. Hopefully CCP will be a little quicker in seeing the importance of such things. |

Yes please and perhaps just something simple like a "lock on" indicator if in range. A box around the reticule would work nicely or whatever other shape seems appropriate. As for a running logi... would a pinpoint on the mini-map be appropriate? Then you could factor in terrain and enemy forces not just distance and perhaps make a better judgement if said blue is savable. |

Logi moves slower then most but I know how long it takes to get X meters. If the downed blue is > 2 X (whatever X you choose) it is not going to happen. Maybe in a proto scout suit but I don't run those. |

I love the idea of knowing the potential for enemy resistance on the way to save a downed friendly...Would be REALLY cool! |

Yes, a range display on the icon would be helpful. And has anyone mentioned a bleedout timer display? Even if he is within revival range, he may be nearly bled out and not worth the attempt. But I guess that's what the blinking icon is suppose to indicate? |

I suggest you post this in the Features/Requests section, so that the correct dev team sees this and possibly takes action.
Great idea... +1 |
