I always assumed that you could only spawn on uplinks that were currently spotted by your team with the bug being that you have to detect them like you have to detect hostile uplinks. |

If they can't, then can we get a droplink that will allow all team members to spawn? Youre bumping into one of three problems. 1: your link is in a bad location that makes hitting an objective difficult 2: Your teammates have had bad experiences with droplinks and assume they will be spawnkilled on one they did not place themselves. 3: Most of your team is composed of killfarmer idiots with a dim understanding of tactics. #3 is by far the most common. I cannot count the number of times my team has been pushed back to redline with the whole enemy force killfarming. I ninja my way behind enemy lines, drop a link and start hacking for great justice. I Die when bads panic spawn on objective.. I then proceed to have a ten death running gunbattle with the enemy team who assumes we flanked them and cant find my droplink. This usually allows the clueless blueberries to attack and take the objective I DIDN'T hit. Go farking figure. So how many of you see this a lot? No really, there is no possible way im the only one, im tactically stubborn, not brilliant.

This usually allows the clueless blueberries to attack and take the objective I DIDN'T hit. Go farking figure. So how many of you see this a lot? No really, there is no possible way im the only one, im tactically stubborn, not brilliant. you see.... the thing is that when your choosing an area to spawn in, you have to look at the actual map and choose a point via hovering over that point in the map. These maps can get pretty big, so when a team is redlined and your choosing the next place you want to spawn, you only see your MCC and main base as spawn points because thats the area your map hovers over on default (when those are the only two places you can spawn in at). Its not that the bluedots are ignoring the uplink, if they could spawn away from the kill farming then they most certainly would, its that they simply have no idea its there because the icon that symbolizes it isn't on their respawn map. (even if all you have to do is twitch your joystick to re-focus it) CCP could fix this by adding a list on the side of the map so that people can see the available spawn points. the list would say something like....... MCC dropzone main base dropzone Alpha dropzone tactical drop uplink 1 ect..... this way people would be less oblivious to the spawn points that are available, and would therefore use some of the more important ones more often +1. Good info and good solution. |

Enderr Wigginn wrote:I am a droplink w hore. I use the gauged droplink in skirmish. I can say for a fact in skirmish only your squad can spawn on your link. I was in a match, had both my links down and my squad pissed me off so I switched and was no longer able to use MY links. I switched back and was able to use them again. +1. Valuable info, thanks Enderr. |

Gunner Visari wrote:As far as i know the all Uplinks are for squad only. Currently the only uplinks that allow for teamspawning are the hacked uplinks that are included in the mercenary pack but not yet available in the maketplace individually.
This makes sense since the number of spawns an uplink will accomodate 10 spawn per uplink at tier I, 15 spawns at adv, and 20 spaws at proto. They have variant for std and adv that allow for 12 and 18 respectively. And other variants that allow for multiple(2 links) to be active at a time from a single player or allow for quicker spawning.
So as it is now the only ones that i know that allow for team spawning is the hacked uplink.
The conflict here is alarming. Gunner's explanation is the right one, and that's it. There's no spotting mechanic, not much bugging any more, nothing.
The hacked uplinks are the only ones which allow non-squad members to spawn on them. The reason why you think you encountered "glitches" with spawning on blue dots' uplinks in the past, but don't encounter them now, is that most people have burnt their hacked uplinks.
The functionality is not different in different game modes. It is not inconsistent. |

I run proto level uplinks and blues spawn at my uplinks though I have run into games where there is a blue uplink I can not spawn into but another member of my squad is able to see and spawn at it. There is definitely something not right with some uplinks. |

It would certainly seem that drop uplinks are bugged. I always use the militia BPO uplinks and there have been times where I get 4-5 players spawn onto it faster than my squad could die and spawn back in (suggesting team wide spawns). If different uplinks are team or squad only that would be interesting.
To further answer OPs problem. If you want players to spawn on your uplink you may need to defend it. Especially in ambush, where there aren't any remote locations. If you drop an uplink and leave it unattended you are pretty much offering your team up as free kills. I won't us a drop uplink unless I see a blueberry near it for this reason. |

hmmm I had always thought any blue could spawn on uplinks even militia as I seem to get points even when my squad has yet to die.
Though I have seen drop uplinks bug out disappear and reappear blue and red or simply not allow some people to spawn on or see it.
Something certainly seems to be up. |

Someone should really bring a dev into this thread so we can get some clarity on this issue. I have indeed noticed in Ambush nonsquad members can spawn on them and they are militia BPO. However those same links in skirmish are squad only use and have NEVER had a nonsquad spawn on them. |
