On a thrasher it has 7 guns. So only getting to the fourth gun would mean it only shot off part obits full salvo. Yet it looked amd acted the same. So having a throw away ship with a single around of ammo and one gun would be as effective as a fully fit t2 ship. Not something we want. |

More guns do more damage provided you fire them either grouped or by activating them all quick enough. Different meta levels of guns do the same damage for now but we will change that as well as adding ship role bonuses and a trainable skill in EVE to adjust the damage and accuracy of the strike.
Not seeing the guns fire from a 3rd party ship sounds like a bug. Would be great if you can help test that further. I'll make sure our QA guys have a look at it too in the new year.

both Daniel and Deathking (lazer and hybrid results) were using grouped fire, in the results u can see deathkign used 150mm II's first then used blaster II's
and daniel in lazers used Gatling pulse first and then focused last
and i was wandering if tracking made any difference cause i noticed i did different damages on a CRU using same amount of guns and same ammo |

Kane Spero EVE-side. Its very easy to join FW as needed in sisi to do the testing. Only have to worry about your standings with each faction. You can solo join and leave each one as needed
My standings were good enough to join any fac war militia but waiting 24 hours to leave my corp wasn't gonna help me till another testing time and i'd rather just get a new mirror and already be in fac war with the alliance.
If we get a new mirror I'd just have to watch the contracts I accept on Dust side of things.
Murph had got in fac war then left (like a idiot ) and had a 24 hour timer to rejoin to partake in our testing for that day.
After holidays I will gladly test these features again and try different things.
on a side note also, trying corp voice with mercs in it with UVT's isn't even working for me still. |

I was getting 'interference' notifications on trying to rain down all 3 ammo types on a planet at the same time (mashing f1, f2, f3 at the same time)

Got to try this myself today with some Minmatar and Caldari militia guys during an SI vs SI match. I actually have the footage uploaded, but its Private only to me until I get word back from CCP on whether I can add forum users to the access list so anyone who wants to can see it. Otherwise, it'll just have to wait till the next build.
Our testing found that a single turret will hit the designated point with perfect accuracy, but every additional turret will add to a spread pattern. Right now, you always want to be using a Destroyer for your strikes. |

After that shot we hit a bug in the EVE client. Even though the OB was done, the target stayed up for other players, but trying to fire resulted only in:

Hybrid - Very similar to the current MCC precision but over a much larger area Laser - Smaller AOE with big red/orange lazor beams Damage results- Without a doubt, all orbital strike variants were much more powerful. EM was noticeably weaker than Laser or Hybrid but did shred all shields in proximity and still very deadly to troops. Both Laser and Hybrid decimated everything with laser being a bit more concentrated over smaller area. Tanks and LAV's go pop and troops are incinerated. They rain down just as fast as the MCC Precision Strikes. Can't wait to see these used in battles and there is some serious escalation potential in space for the capsuleers.

There was no damage on that 2nd OB, but it didn't hit anything, so this may have been why there was no damage. |

GIANT and The Southern Legion allowed us to use their corp match to do some very thorough testing, which included calling in 3 Orbitals at once. Three laser OBs at once was quite spectacular.
If you used 3 EMPs at the same time you would be able to cover most of the map in one go. |

3 different squad leaders call in 1 OB each on 3 different targets. 3 separate ships in Eve fulfill the order.
Time it with a countdown and enjoy the light show.
Shout out to Pink Fluffy Bunnies for helping us with some more testing last night. We found out that EMP strikes have a blast height between 50m and 120m. We tried to replicate not seeing weapons animations in Eve, but were not able to reproduce.
Also, while you can call in an OB and then have it sit Eve side it will eventually time out (between 3 - 10 minutes), but we need to test that more to get an exact count. |

your allowed to have 1 ship per dust squad, each squad in dust is allowed to have 1 orbital request up at a time so if u have a full match which is what 4 squads? then your allowed to have 4 ships providing orbitals at the same time that is of course if all 4 squads get 2500 wp and setup a orbital request at same time and everyone in space does a coordinated effort to shoot their assigned targets then u can have all 4 going down at same time |

We set up a contract, and thx to PROJECT9 who accepted it.
We'd got 1 Capsuler Caldari, and could set 4 OS in this row. He'd got Hybrids.
1st thing is the colour changes, impression of a new power. The 2nd, Capsuler just need to push 1 buton and seems to get bore, not really active (I know, it's just wonderfull to see that the interaction between PC and PS3 is working, without any lag, and really quickly, and with ennemies, other ships, it will be spectacular) 3rd thing, already been said, no "shoot graphics" on EVE side
Well, for the moment, really glad to see that technically, this is working, and nice job to CCP !!!!
Now wait and see for features !!!

During our 12/28/12 testing we had several pilots observe the turret animations in EvE and confirmed that Lasers show up very well. The beams actually passed right by my Cormorant during one strike.
EM produced a what appeared to be a vapor trail like animation when the rounds dispersed from the guns.
The Hybrids were the one ammunition type that didn't produce noticeable visuals. During one strike from a ship about 4km off of mine, I could see something coming from the front of the ship but no apparent barrage that went from ship to planet surface.

The all thing here is that EVE players need more atractiv things to be really involve. But I'm sure CCP knows it, and is working on it ;) !

Hopefully missiles will be work soon. I'm eager to see a Phoenix drop some ordinance on the ground. Dusties have clones so a little friendly fire wont be "that bad". |
