Exmaple Core.
Just played a match against him, and he went 43-0 with a heavy suit.
Heavies need a nerf.
Seriously... That is beyond ridiculous. |

Come say Heavies need a nerf when your fit costs anywhere between 300,000- 500,000 ISK(and thats not while using the VK.1 Proto Heavy) |

If someone's score is better than yours, it's because something he uses is OP. That's your logic, right?
You need more than one sample to call something OP. It's quite obvious, isn't it? |

Just because one guy owns you too much doesn't mean it's OP. Haven't you notice the lack of heavy love from the DEVs.

DAT REPAIR TOOL.
But seriously Advanced repair tools will keep anyone with a decent armor pool alive even when under fire. Im thinking Example Core probably has his own pocket logi (And so he should what a beast!)

Ah well, got 943,000 ISK from one match against those Asia guys earlier. There's plenty of counters to even an extremely expensive heavy. Just because you can't figure out to counter a heavy properly doesn't mean others can't.
Also, if you think that's P2W try use it yourself then, although I suspect that won't go very well. |

Your probably right, I am speced for AR use, not heavy. No experience means even with the best suit I wouldn't know what to do with it. Which is pretty clear from the Asia gameshow thing going on, as they ALL have top-line proto everything. And most go 0-x in matches.
But in case nobody caught on, the thread is not exactly meant to be a serious nerf thread. Although I do despise heavies |

Heavys are doing their job correctly and evenly I have no trouble killing heavys because I treat this game like dust514 not I want to play a sci fi cod 514. Example core is also a dam good player game balance should be based off the top end players who could win using a tooth pic. As like for real people are bad at this game |

The game should be balanced per map in regard to corp battles so, that it won't become a fest of heavies, logistics and tanks or similiar brute force tactics only. A large map with multiple control points favors fast moving teams which are able to project force quicker. A small map with cover favors heavy brick teams with logistics backup.
Balance has as much to do with map design as with other factors. In the perfect situation imo, small maps would require a small map setup while large, open maps would require a setup of their own. This would allow much more leeway into counter-setups and such. The worst case scenario in valid endgame is two teams of tanks and heavies only, with the strategy devolved into "fit missiles or fit lasers?"
Overall, the corp that forks all out on isk (all the good ones will) and goes heavy-tank-logistics or similiar brick tactic will have a strong chance inherently in any given map. Countering it with fancy tactics will be extremely hard, if not impossible on tighter maps.
On large maps, with some adjustment, the slow moving team might have issues with fast, "hidden" snipers and anti-vehicles controlling field. This is only if visibility is fixed so that you can't easily spot light suits by the pixels a kilometer away, and light suits given hard hitting anti-vehicle arsenal. If the heavy team goes balls out and fields tanks only, snipers become irrelevant bar controlling capture points. A bit of a side track here, but for this reason some hack points should be open to sniper fire to give more viable corp battle options.
Public games and faction warfare can succumb into a K/D fest for all I care :)
It's a really tough map design process that CCP needs to go through to prevent the corp game degenerating to steamroll vs steamroll. |

Although I do despise heavies Do what I do- over the course of the beta, try EVERY STYLE! usually when you play AS something instead of against it, the weaknesses are far more obvious. With the exception of non-medic logis, where I found out how to easily take down a heavy as one. |

Well back to basic understanding what is what effective. Heavys have allways more armor then shields and even if it is a Type-II/Bseries/VK.1 you can take them out really quickly. And that is explosives of any kind. Espacially mass drivers work wonder against them cause they are way to slow to run for cover and that 30% extra damage hurts them really badly. You should be aible to kill any heavy with 1 full clip of a mass driver. And if he has better shields throw a flux grenade and then finish him off cause most off the time he has less armor then a militia heavy. You could aswell upgrade to advanced grenades and just throw 2 at his feet and he will not be aible to evade it cause he is just to slow. |

Lolol i need an OP nurf like the missiles. That was prolly my best game ever, ran around the map murdering everyone in a skirimish. Overall very even teams on both sides so it wasent spawn camping, i almost died twice because i dident have a pocket logi giving me ammo. But hey, supply points <3 next best thing |

I like nothing more than following my favorite fatty around when we squad up. With Maple distracting the red dots they don't tend to shoot me nearly as much. You just keep feeding ammo into that machine and buff it up from the occasional scratch and watch it cut a murderous swath through the enemy.
It's probably obvious to most, but a good squad with at least one heavy and a logi is the way to go. |

reasons you got pwned and how you should react:
A) his role is heavy suits : found some 1 with the role of long range or cordinate with a team (if possible ge a mic and get soem freinds or local players).
B) he had a medic/repair tool or is/was in a squad : an un-orginized team will always be pushed to its knees in this game if theres a well orginized team, even if you have a few proto guns or skilled players without orginazation you will and on the receiver end of example A`s reaction.
C) you are a noob, having a bad day or don`t have the tools or capibility to cordinate : takes about 12 hours GT to go from noob to easily able to carry your own weight, theres always next time (happens to evryone, I was extracting a guy with my Promithies with proto missle luanchers and all, he apearently had called in a tank to get him out as I was descending to land...... thats ok 20 promithies`s salvaged and 10 Erynx`s so it wasn`t that bad....), use you earned Sp and iSK to fullfill your role`s need (don`t do things by hafe mesures, advance is where you want to get inless you are talking dropsuits, but if you are really into dropsuits surly do go for proto, but for thoose who aren`t going there stop at advance, stoping at stadear in most cases wastes your ISK and SP since they are just bearly better then Skinweave and other suits/militial/beta tester tools.
theres a few more that i can do but I havn`tb read much of your feedback in this thread and the smiley face you added makes me feel like a wasted my time replying to a troller. |
