Notice has CCP has remained Mum on the Topic.
I hate it, in fact I am probably going to figure out what game will have my attention until this is sorted out.
I stuck with them thru the nonsense of previous builds, but to do this for no reason to every AR commonly used without including any sort of scope or way to do something different is just like waiting for these webifiers that are supposed to stop tanks from running away as fast.
If you look it is the same iron sight as the one on the Thompson SMG from COD Classic, with the addition of a useless white dot in the center, it is not like I can see where my rounds are hitting without being closer to care. |

The whole problem with Iron Sights on these guns is.... this is a futuristic shooter. Iron sights should have no place in a futuristic shooter. Feels like I'm back playing Medal of Honor WW2.

New ARs make them actually hard to use, no more put dot on enemy form X range away, pop 60 shots in with no kick. Irons make this game much more playable so that ARs are not the do everything weapon, now lazer rifles will take the range weapon status and actually fit in instead of being killed at really long ranges by Tac ARs and others. And yes we will get new scopes eventually ccp has said that before they put in ironsights. Great build CCP. |

Check the stickies in the feedback section.
They've specifically stated that there will be weapon customisation, that there's already a system in the works, but it hasn't been implemented in the game engine as yet. |

In BF3 i used the thermal scopes all the time because they were just that good, but when they nerfed the sh**t out of them did i quite the game??? no!..... i mean really?? whats the point of being a beta tester if your not going to test it?? |

Not to be a party pooper, but i think the point was... you could pick another scope in BF3 when that got nerfed.
Alas, all is not lost. Mr. Blacknova has enlightened upon the speakings of CCP toward the customization... now if only to find 'em. |

Because it's impossible that anything will be done IN THE FUTURE using a simple, reliable low-tech option instead of something that needs precisely 1.21 gigawatts (pronounced "one point twenty-one jiggawatts") of power or it might spontaneously destroy the space-time continuum.
It would be unthinkable for someone IN THE FUTURE to use the butt of a gun as a club, because that's not an advanced super-high-tech approach to... oh wait. |

Speak for yourself if you don't aim, homeboy. CCP needs to be let known if something they've done doesn't make sense. And kudos to you for sticking with BF3 lol
There's no point in testing iron sights, there is no function. Iron sights downgrade the gameplay for me, considerably. I only tolerate them in other games because you can add attachments as you level up. There's no reason to implement iron sights, right now, without attachments.
It is just like tolerating lag and many people don't. Some aspects of the game are deal breakers and iron sights with no options is one for me. So, calm the **** down and stop taking my attitude towards iron sights so personally....as if I'm taking money out your pocket. |

I've used that Rifle camera scope since June 6th.
I put up with all the nonsense since then, the invalid suit glitch, the swarms and forges point blank, the hard freezes.
Now my character is pretty much set up for a game that Does not exist. It is not as if there is a system in place to let me Re-task those skill points I apparently wasted for the past 2 months.
Easiest way to show displeasure IS to not play the game, I'm actually reading a book instead of playing this silly mess, after trying 20 games to give the iron sights a chance, I'm done. |

Not a fan of the iron sights. If this was a WWII game, sure. It's not. I'm cool with them being in because a lot of people prefer them. However, if there isn't eventually an option to add a scope or even remove them all together . . . bleh. Right now they are too large, take up too much of the screen and cover up the guy you are aiming at. Couple that with more kick on the AR and it's poorly implemented currently. ARs needed adjustment but the iron sights need to be redesigned and adjusted for the AR if they are going to be the standard. |

I agree they should not be the only option for sights right now, but the fact is that they are. You ether deal with it or you switch weapons.
