You guys can ***** about anything. Personally I like the irons, took a little getting used to but I put the laser down for a night to try them out.
Weapon customization is something I think the devs are interested in, so having stock irons laid out first makes sense. Then you can fit a scope or whatever stuff is available. This is a nice patch, but we are still testing, and we don't have everything switched on yet.
If you don't like the irons this would be a good time to test other weapons, I saw a pile of mass drivers in play last night, hopefully we will see more variety. Two teams of ARs shooting at each other every damn game was getting old.

People are using mass drivers because they are OP and prevent people from firing back. Have a few Corpmates basically dropping mini nukes on people all game. |

Rigs will likely be implemented shortly for guns. Give it some time and try another weapon in the mean time.
Im not having any issues with Iron sights. You just have to learn how to shoot with them. The idea is to not see your target instead of seeing them with the camera sight. All you should see is the top of their head.
Just because it takes a remote amount of skill to use, instead of keeping a dot on the person. RDS sights are easy to use/aim, thats why so many people use them. Iron sights need to be balanced/adjusted just as much as any other game feature. Instead of saying OMG they suck give me my old sight back....provide useful feedback.
I prefer tall irons like the m16 in BF3. Its the perfect size sight. I dont like the blocky ones that take up the whole screen. So rather than a giant block you have a small pylon. |

i don't want to see cam added back to non burst AR's maybe a reflex sight but the cam should stay on the tac and assault, making player choose between super accurate restricted fire or pray and spray but not both.. still ppl will get good at ironsight and make long range kills with it anyway just takes more skill to do. your still rewarded with either system both requiring more skill than the previous full auto with camera. overall good move. |

Hey, I am back about 20 pages into the general discussion and about 10 pages back in the Feedback/Requests section..... can someone help me find all these posts saying that ARs need IRON SIGHTS.
Second thing, how do you know if something is OFF in the game, when IT has changed so much from what was accepted as the normal.
It is not like HMG users are just tucking the weapon to the side and running in a diagonal at you; keeping the gun in perfect kill stance for anything in front of them for 5 meters wide by 75m long.... you know once they jump out of the LAV or tank.
(as for going into and out of vehicles, fine for the barbie convertible LAV/ Dropship, just hop into it like the Duke boys, shouldn't take that long, but a person getting into and out of tank should take longer, and it should not be ready to go right out of the gate, you may actually have to start the thing up and that should take some time)
It is not like the laser rifle which gets stronger before never over heating.
I guess all the tank users must have skilled up the turret sharpshooter skills to profiecency level 5 and used the vehicle weapon capacity skill to have more than a few shots.
It is not like you can see where your bullets are going, but a Mass Driver user can actually see the explosions so they can determine if they have to actually move to hit you.
To those saying give the Iron Sights some time....... I ask what type of sdrawkcab-ssa process is this BETA, you friggin start with Iron sights and then go from there, you don't start with the finished product and then go thru everything back to the beginning. This renders the previous months worth of data for the AR's useless. |

Stop being a yes man....not everything they do is good. I can use them but I choose not to. There's no reason to exclude all for iron sights. I feel like a level 1 player with iron sights. I would agree with your statement here if you could switch weapons easily. Instead it will takes weeks most likely to switch into an equivalent weapon to what I was using. |

I have seen some people asking for it. I personally thought it was dumb but made no comment expecting CCP to know that the majority of players dont want iron sights but that I would be ok with having a choice between the two different sights. However my trust was poorly placed. |
