Remember when you could hold down the trigger as you died and hope you can hit something on your way down? I thought this was a cool unique feature of this game, but it turns out it was a glitch.
I think it gave the game more of a movie like feel and was wondering if it could make it's way back in the game somehow. If they are gonna implement smart-bombs on death I think ccp should add this in as well. |

Honestly think that you should be able to fire your gun while you're bleeding out until someone puts a bullet in your head... |

Agreed with Op. It was great with a forge, I remember getting last hit on a gunloggi as I was bleeding out. Like you said, more cinematic and immersive experience by having this. |

This was one of the things that first got me so excited about the game, sadly. I would drop and still be pulling the trigger, and sometimes I'd mow down people that weren't paying attention. It also forced me to watch out when I killed people, and I had to approach HMG guys with an even higher level of caution; that death spray was nasty.
You really need to be able to do more things while you're down, right now it's kind of stupid. Let us crawl and shoot, but have our aim speed be ridiculously low. (I don't know, just, something) Also, I'm not sure if this works right now because it never seems to work for me, but you should be able to kill downed people by shooting them a few more times, going through their "hull" so to speak.
That really was the best feeling though, being thrown back as you die but still shooting away, watching the tracer fire veer off as you fall. I miss it dearly |

Brilliant idea! As a rather newbro, I haven't experienced when this was possible, but even now one of the most lovely things for me in DUST is when I manage to take down my killer with me -- giving more likeliness for it to happen after 'gray screen' is just awesome on cube.
People here give excellent inputs, like slower aim-time and for it to last until someone headshots/blows you and/or breaks your "hull" . Having "hull" could be good too, like how expensive your clone is -- you might skill up and/or pay for engineered thicker-skin body that last a fraction of time longer before becoming definitely dead/revived.
And for sure it would be hell more immersive and cinematic and fun as said. |

I liked this very much as well.
Actually emphasizes the bleeding-out stage.
BTW I thought that you COULD finish bleeders already, although did notice that grenades lying next to your head on the floor didn't do that (lol)

I just realized that new screen shot with the iron sight has a logi dying and his gun is still firing. I wonder if that means anything. |

Wow. The idea of skills to increase your bleed out time and being able to squeeze out the rest of the clip as you are bleeding out is a great idea. I remember pre-CODEX taking down a few people unaware of my death-throws.
We could look at it as a great way to immerse players, and also make the battlefield a little more dangerous (i.e., entertaining). EDIT: The bleed out skill could start of with a base bleed out time of 10 seconds with the first tier skill adding 5% per level ( making it 12.5 seconds at lvl 5) and the proficiency adding the standard 3% for a total of a 40% increase (i.e., bleed out could be maxed out at 14 seconds).
What about also introducing a skill that not only increases your bleed out time, which could also increase your toughness/resistance to being "finished off" (or maybe two separate skills there would be better), but also a skill that could increase your death-throws accuracy. Kind of think of it as the sway off the sniper rifles; the more skill the less erratic the random movement of your cross-hairs as you are in the process of bleeding out. Say a 5% reduction to the random sway per level of regular skill with it also having a proficiency their that would work much like the weapon proficiency skills and give you a further 3% per skill level. That would allow you up to 40% reduction and make you one hell of a dangerous person to drop at close range.
The idea about a "hull" for the Duster clones I have been contemplating for some time. It should be a base of say 25-35 points (the low end being the scouts, with the high end being heavies? maybe?) and then a skill (let's call it Merc Toughness) giving a 3% increase to the "hull" capacity of the clone, with the proficiency tier giving an additional 2% per level (total should be 25% increase which on the low end would give an extra 7 points to the clone's "hull" while on the high end it could give another 9 points. This would allow for the necessary "kill shot" while also not allowing for it to create a terrible imbalance between players. That would put the max range of the "hull" between 32 and 48/49 points, which would equate to 1-2 rounds from most weapons we have now.
Maybe this should be moved to feedback/suggestions sections |

I don't know. Maybe a grenade throw would be OK, but only if it increases the speed of your bleed out. |

Grenade should fall if held when killed, bleed out would be ended by the player's own grenade, and maybe the killer to if he ran in for tea bagging.
Full auto should keep firing till mag is empty, but aim affected by the rag doll of falling body. Fire on release weapons should fire on death if fully charged. |

+1 on this. It was pretty cool. And since you can't adjust your aim when down, it wasn't much of an issue if you knew to get out of the way. |

You can still dead-man throw a nade, got a kill doing this last night and it was awesome. Funny thing was, I didn't even cook it, I just threw it the instant after I died. |
