At the moment, I think that Vehicles and Infantry are pretty well balanced from the past few matches I've played. As a squad, my players took out 5-6 Sagaris' and Gunloggi's over 3-4 games. We were working together, which made it an "easy" challenge. I also lost 2 of my tanks. One to a stupid bug which threw my tank across the road into the enemy red zone, and another to Seraphim guys. They also used tactics, and kept me holed up in my red area behind cover for a while, before actively coming after me in LAV's for suicide runs and finally taking me out. (Good job, it was a good fight). This leads me to believe that balance is pretty good right now. A forge gunner can send a tank running, but tanks can also cause general chaos. Pretty good so far.
However, some things need work. For one Missile turrets need looking at. Railguns are fine, they have their uses for the tanks that like to snipe from across the map. Forge is alright, may need a slight tweak, so that a forge gunner can't just play peek a boo and hide behind a 5 inch rock whenever a tank comes nearby. I don't mind it how it is, but the tears are coming from others.
One thing which can dynamically change things is ISK values. Making tanks cheaper will not help. What can be done is to give higher amounts of ISK, like in the ISK Week, and how I already have pointed out. This will allow tankers not to receive as much of a huge hit that they get in their wallets every time a tank gets destroyed, and AV/Infantry won't cry when their precious advanced suits get killed. |

I just read the title and I have a feeling this thread is gonna be a blast
I do agree with the higher isk pay out, maybe just add bigger bonuses to the guys killing the vehicles, whether its with AV or another vehicle. |

swarms crazy tracking needs to be looked at also. I'm getting tired of watching swarms do a 45 degree turn around cover to hit me.
A Nerf on large blasters range, lol I was waiting for somebody to post a nerf on the last good AI turret. |

i love it when I go between 2 objects and turn right go 10 feet and turn around and watch the swarms zig zag through them and then come hit me. I agree 100% on swarms being able to go around objects to come get a tank. Swarms pull of some crazy following techniques some times. |

To bad NDA is not lifted, I would like to see some video of these crazy pathing swarms that hop over and around mountains without being locked onto a vehicle and not tracking it around corners like they are designed.
If you peek out from a rock, I tag you with a guidance payload ,it will follow you around that corner.. I think alot of people think swarms are a 4-5 barrel no lock ****** rocket launcher/rpg or something o.0 |

I ran into a possible drunk dropship 2 nights ago. There I was chilling on a roof with 2 squad mates and BAM theres a dropship just fell out the sky on us, I took 2 steps back and threw my AV nades in the side door. killed a couple people that were still in it, one of the gunners was sitting there still shooting at me as the armor melted away and it burst into flames lol |

Make tanks even harder to kill with a big boost to go, I woukd say 50% boost to start with. Then, make them very expensive. Taking like 3-5 million isk should be a good start.
Then, these are no longer "op" death machines that two or three people spawn in random games, but a corp asset that the corp as a whole pays for, and wouldn't reallybwaste on random matches.
Also with the tanks, sevrely lower their maneuvering abilities. Slower speed, longer times to accelorate, slower turning speeds. Make them have the defense to take the hits and keep going, much like a battleship in eve, but slow lumbering bricks. This woukdbbe a great balance, because then you would only drop in a tank if you feel your infantry can keep the enemy away from you and from killing you, and they will not be prevalent in random matches, and in corp battles you should be able to know how to effectively counter enemy tanks while keeping yours alive. |

From what you've posted, it seems they'd be a burden to keep alive than actually useful. Tank drivers are players too, the more you nerf them, the less they will play. |

I agree with the HP boost. But the price raise you suggest is certainly too much. Then, i'd agree with a slight nerf to turning speed. They still feel like they "slide" on the ground when i look at them.
The Battleship comparison for HAV sounds good to me. They should take a lot of pain instead of bein paper killing machine.
After all, they're called TANKS for a reason ? |

See that's going about it the wrong way. The tanks will be practically invincible for 4-5 games before a squad actively tries to take them out, and the price increase will stop their usage mostly. They need to stay the same, and ISK payouts need increasing. |

Sagaris and Surya need to be dropped price wise to like they were in the ISK week tbh, they are too expenisve as it is for a weak tank and even some mods tbh like shield mods way more expensive than armor mods and also general resistances for both types of tanks got whacked into useless mode
Plus AV is still broke, swarms espc with locking through cover, missiles bending around cover and forges being better than a large railgun which should be the otherway around
Maybe they should make a 3rd HAV lvl5 needed 50% more health maybe 1.5mil in cost and an extra low and high slot and make it a ******* tank instead of a cardboard box on wheels |

I want armor piercing rounds for my assault rifle I want 1,000 more HP on my assault B suit I want a side arm that folds out into an uber powerful nuclear rocket that wipes the whole map I want candy I want stuffs I want |

Well no ****, but is it a scrub pea shooter right now? NO, people just have to learn to use their weapons now instead of general direction click kill from across the map. Even after this latest nerf on them, I have gone into a couple matches that have had some pretty serious gunners tearing up still in their tanks.. it is easier to know who has skill and who doesnt behind all the metal now. But wait, no.. because they have to actually aim now.. DOUBLE THE HP.. it's dumb. nuff said |

Maybe it is, but one additional low slot and a few points of CPU and PG doesn't seem like much of an upgrade from a Gunlogi to a Sagaris considering the SP and ISK investment. Can anyone with experience comment?

People are looking at the isk costs in all the wrong ways. Yes right now 5 million seems a lot. But when this game goes live...you will be able to use 5 million to light your victory cigars. And of people are only thinking about things how they are right now. This random match making is temporary....corp battles will be where the fun is at. Once you get eve players setting up contracts to take out planets you won't need to worry about this match making system.
As for slower tanks but massive increase to defense being a nerf...well that's just ignorant. Yes, drop it into a pubbie match and I hope you lose it fast like the scrub spawn camper you probably would try to be. You make the tank a beast to take out, but one the REQUIRES team coordination and communications to be effective. Sure keep some cheap ass malitia tanks that will be cheap to spawn into pubbie games.
I want to see tanks that you deploy and use as a strategic asset....that would take a coordinated team effort on enemies side to take out, TEAM effort btw....and I want that same tank to not be able to sprint away like a frightened deer but have to tactically withdraw to safety. And NOT be paper thin. I want a tank tank. If you want speed, get an advanced LAV which also should get an hp buff. |

No, we won't be rolling in ISK from day one, and we probably won't have the ridiculous EvE money flowing in for a while, maybe never. Also, intergalactic mercenaries should be able to afford at least 5 suits per game. So far, I can only afford 1 A-Series per game. |
