lol You need to start trolling harder, sniping is way too easy in this game. True the only thing holding it back is the lag and hit detection, but you can compensate for it and lag spikes don't hit at every moment of the game. There really is no denying it, its just point and click. |

This definitely could be its own topic...
They could jump on the band wagon and make a horde mode where a CRU gets a virus and starts spewing out undead clones and you and your squad must defeats the masses of zombies and hack the CRU to complete each stage. |

I usually play as a sniper unless whatever god awful team I get thrown on is either all sniping (really guys?) or not playing the objectives (again, really?), then I try and play assault to get something going. When sniping I try and support my team (re: Garretts recounting and more, more or less) but sometimes the team is turrible, just turrible, and no matter what I try and do it doesn't fix the idiotic and ridiculous... whatever it is they are doing. I'm not saying I can turn the tide of a battle on my own but I try and create opportunities rather than just doing... whatever it is they are doing.

I get that not many people like snipers and I completely understand why, it's people like me
I don't play the game to win, I don't care if my whole team is trapped in the spawn thats their fault not mine!
I just like jump into a match, head for a nice spot that has a great view with some traffic, smoke some weed and have a cuppa tea while I pop a few heads.
I find it relaxing to sit there all stoned and filled with the contenment as I watched youtube videos and take the occasinal shot at some random person.
Some times I just aim to wound just so I can giggle at them running around in a panic trying to dodge my next shot, it's fun!
Yes people sneak up behind me and stab me or shoot me or run me over thinking that they've gotten some sort of payback, and that's what ever makes ya feel good. It doesn't really matter to me as with in two minutes I'll be in another spot supping my tea and rolling another spliff and watching the red dots running and jump for fear of being killed by the supposed cowared on the hill
No matter how much bitching an moaning that goes on I'll still be sitting in some spot taking pot shots at you, so put aside your hate cause I aint going anywhere mate. |

I admit it. I keep one sniper fit ready. When I burn through a few break-out fit drop suits and manage to place an uplink and start hacking deep in enemy territory only to have the majority of my team remain sitting in the hills sniping away I give up and join them.
Although I did have one odd experience last night. We had a good team and I was supporting them at Objective A on Manus Peak only to be constantly shot down by three snipers that had us perfectly surrounded. I think that was the first time we had a total lack of sniper vs sniper support so I finally did it myself. |

Can't this be said for any specialty? AR/Heavy/SG/etc. The difference is dumb snipers don't necessarily die for their stupidity, they just are useless. |

you are so right, all those other class's all they ever do is steal my kills, or scare them off.
nothing more frustrating then lining up the perfect shot then all of a sudden all I see are blue dot running in and killing him on me , it's just not fair. They should just know that I'm about to kill this guy! |

He actually (from a sniper AND CQC dependent on stiuation POV) has a good point. The story is irrelevant, the rest he says is legit.
Just for reference, I snipe and and move up with my buddies on mic, telling people what is happening and providing them support or defending points. I'm also awfully useful for setting objectives without worrying too much about my brains blown out while busy setting it. |

I my self love playing snipers but I have never tryed this red line crap I like to play along with my team also I like to move from point to point after 1kill or 1 missed kill you move so people don't no where you are a use my sniper to hack a point the then find somewhere to wach to make sure the point it taken then move on all the time from spot to spot taking out reds on the way (ok most the time they take me out),I don't see the point in sitting on the red line its no fun |

New sign language for the snipers: I'll drive up the mountain in my LAV and start punching you. Repeatedly. I'll even throw a few mass driver rounds in the right direction so you know where I'm going. That means shoot the bad guys that keep killing me while I hack. I mean, you're right there just aim a little down and shoot. You don't even have to get off your roost and I'll do all the tough hacky hacky work.
