now missiles got nerfed straight to hell. Whats next? Deletion of vehicles?
Ps. I know missiles were crazy op but now they can't hit a tank 30 feet away from them... They needed to be nerfed but what ccp did was too much. |

You hadn't worked harder than anyone else here. We all have put in roughly the same amount of time into our characters and the fact that Missiles could OHK anything was broken. They have been put in line with other weapon systems. Just be glad that AV is still a crap shoot. |

If you guys read my first post I agreed with missiles being op but with them being nerfed to uselessness kinda sucks. They are not on par with other weapons as they cant hit there targets ever. get a tank and once you put a large missile launcher on it you will know how badly the got nerfed.

I'm another one who agrees Missiles were OP before, but it needs to be said that the nerf was too much - particularly on Large Turrets. |

I think devs need to treat balance changes like application changes change only a few things at a time to work out impact. Balance is an evolution process. Small changes over a long time. Sadly unlike eve you cant math your balance in a shooter because the player himself is also a variable. |

Ive dropped all missiles
Can barely seem to kill someone with the large or they sponge the weak splash and run off and the 2nd n 3rd shots dont do owt, if i dont get a direct hit which is now luck of the random missile spread im ****** because i know splash will not work plus the range cap screws you over and if they are in range anyways random missile spread screws you

They struggle to support with such weak tanks. Lack of hardners for armour HAVs and too low a buffer with shield. So ideally, they should be pushing forward to allow infantry to push on, but the reality is infantry need to push forward to clear room for tanks. That seems whack.

I'm a tank driver (some of you may know me, others not) I use a railgun most of the time, and i use it fairly effectively against infantry. Yes it was nerfed, yes maybe too much, but i've gotten to the point(with more than a little practice mind you!) where i've hit people out of midair. I have never cared for missile turrets (not good av and hate being killed, and i got morals so i didn't really use em) and i tried them after nerf. I APPROVE. Don't get me wrong, you can't hit the broad side of my tank if you have anything except accelerated missile turrets at long range, but at close range they sittl slaughter, plus they have advantage vs armor, and if, IF you can hit a dropshop they lose almost all control. No complaints from me about the nerf. |

tanks need support infantry push forward and deal with the AV and tanks can mop up the rest both infantry and tanks require each other for support not one leading the way and others filter in after |

infantry is supposed to have tank support and tank comes in and deystroys people then infantry kills stragallers and takes objective they were op but its like ccp just threw them in the garbage. now if there is a tank on the battlefeild nobody really cares. ccp needs to do a little fixing. |

I fully agree with the op, missiles were bad, they were completely overpowered, so much so there was no reason to use anything else, but now you can completely ignore that missile tank altogether, even if he's shooting at you there's very little chance of it doing any damage at all. I mean I've been running logi since the nerf, and have on many occasions crossed the street right infront of a missile tank without any care in the world, as I knew I was safe from him, sure he tried to do something, but it was kinda pointless. Large rails are probabily fine now, they do their AV job, and can snipe. Large blaster are scary things, as long as someone doesen't have a forge gun handy to 2 shot the tank. Large missiles are a laugh now unless you drive an LAV right in front of the thing. and small turrets? may as well not even exist. |

Small Missile Turrets are relatively effective against infantry, actually.
Not totally useless against other HAVs either. A Blaster/Missile or Railgun/Missile HAV is actually a decent anti-tank fitting. They just need a target that's predictable enough and large enough to hit reliably, and HAVs fit the bill nicely. LAVs can be decent targets as well. Throw in a Hybrid to strip the shields, and the Missiles tear the armour apart pretty nicely.
And if you can get a downward angle on infantry (like you get automatically from being on level ground with the top-mounted turret), then you've got a pretty easy low-damage splash shot and a decent chance at landing a direct hit for some real damage. |

I actually love rails how they are. They require skill and once you get good heavies can try to forge all they want but I can shoot farther and one hit kill.
Only think they need to fix now is head glitching and also smooth out the terrain or fix that if I am shooting at someones and somehow my rail hits a magic wall as a forge gunner can shoot at me from the other side or a swarmers can hide and keep swarming me behind this magic wall that my shot keeps hitting.
But rails are where they are suppose to be.
Now missiles are another story. The big problem with missiles is that CCP is trying to make them good at everything. You can anti infantry while still able to ripe other vehicles apart. You can never make something balanced in a video game yet be good at everything. It will always be over powered in or useless because they have to keep it nerfed to keep it from being over powered. They need to seperate out the missile turret roles. You can make missile turrets good at everything but you need to force the tanker to pick the turret for the job. Have one style of turret great at infantry and have another style of the missile turrets great at just AVing. |
