Cater to the whiney bitches.... One man can make my tank turn around and run because I cant take him out..... I dump my sp into something to spec into and you render it useless thanks for screwing me over on this event I cant even take out infantry i go from averaging 20 kills with my tank to 9 in a match.... and a kill is only if i am lucky enough to get a direct hit with a missile at least make it where they hit where the cursor is... dumbest thing you ever did really considering uninstalling this **** game |

Oi, use Infantry support instead of being a muppet and charging in. And before you cry, I use tanks too :) You're there to be shot at by Enemy Infantry aswell as provide cover (let infantry hide behind you) and fire at targets. Instead of using a Missile Turret (Which is probably better for fighting other vehicles), use an ANTI INFANTRY weapon, a Blaster works wonderfully (4 shots the majority of things). I also carry Infantry on my Tank to speed up travel.. I think CCP should work on that next though, not causing people to fall through the tank :(

If you want to kill infantry, put a blaster turret on your tank. If you want a tank that can do area denial, or one that can do okay (but not great) against both infantry and vehicles, then use a missile turret. |

I ca't play yet, but its sounding like its more balanced now. It's nice hearing that tanks will need infantry help from time to time. |

This community has been in almost unanimous agreement for over a month that missile turrets were unbalanced. The splash damage was one issue, but the fact that they could one-shot any armor-tanked vehicle was just beyond the pale. Hopefully they also reduce the range on the damn things so that people actually start using other weapons.
Oh, by the way, you're going to uninstall the game because your broken "I win" button was finally balanced against the other available options? That's really pathetic. |

Yes now there so useless they're good against nothing esspecaily since those proto forges and swarms can kill us in 3-4 hits. and how do we kill them a BLASTER what if they're at a distance then what we are screwed. no jk. They have destroied tank gameplay. make the railgun easier to turn and i would be happy. |

The only reason you needed that much splash damage is because the backend for handling slow-moving projectiles isn't working as they intended. That's part of why Wolfman and company are tearing it all up and redoing it again. When those missiles start going right where you point them, you'll find they're quite well balanced against the other options. |

You want to deal with those long range AV guys shooting at you? Get your team to help and send a fast moving squad to take them down. This may be news to you but tanks aren't indestructible monsters in any army. They are very fragile and are only there to fulfil certain roles. They are most definatly not there fulfil ALL roles. No single unit is.
Not get your ass off that lazy seat and stop lone wolfing. Learn to fight within a team.

Yeah a heavy now has to be hit with 4 barrages of missiles to die AND THTS if they all hit. Yeah thts balanced one man tank killers.
Edit. Balanced all they did was make armor tanks op because no tank will be able to kill them helps me but still means missiles are way to weak. Lol now i can go kill every tank with my syura because missiles suck. Lol |

Ted Nugget is all things considered a legit tanker and his opinions shouldn't be so quickly discarded. Were missile turrets overpowered? Yes they were. Was this the fix we needed? No it isn't. The big issues with missile turrets were the overpowered damage mods and them not having a max range. While I'm not going to be on to test it for a bit the range limit spoken of in the patch notes is a good thing, and so is the dispersion all things considered as it will make the large turret fit its intended role better, but I think the drop in splash range is too much and again for the damage missile splash deals now.
I guess time will tell how this changes things but I expect missile turrets to need a rebuff before the see much use beyond maybe the cycled showing up on vehicles for AV any time soon.

LOL, now who's the whiney *****? Ted, don't get mad because you can't simply dominate a map with your tank. CCP has always said that tanks should require infantry support. not be one man death machines. Missiles were clearly unbalanced, the only one's who disagreed were using them as a crutch. |

Would be nice but when I have to start skilling again to even get a good blaster i have to deal with tanks that are already skilled up so now i am behind and will be basically a dead ****... and to the SI guy that thinks missiles should not be for infantry i sure did see you all using them on dropships take that **** somewher esle |

To be honest Ted, you coming in here talking **** to us the other day sbout your tank isn't going to get any good opinions for you. That being said though, do not worry to much yet. this is the first day and it is much easier for ccp to over nerf and slowly add back, than it is to keep lowering little by little. You won't ever get back what you had, but maybe they will add more dmg back to the splash.. the radius for splash is good as is.. maybe another .5 meter or so could be added but no more |

So, you are complaining about that someone is smarter than you? Month of QQ threads about how missiles are OP and you still investing skills into it? About dropships and missiles... [sarcasm] Try out using railgun or blaster on Dropship, you will be amazed, especialy when dropship at full speed turning on side with like 100meters in the air. [/sarcasm]
Also, do not forget that this is beta and things will change in most cases. So next time you gona make a QQ thread about CCP fixing hit detection and recoil bug with "OHNOES I AM NOT IMMORTAL ANYMORE, NEEDZ COMPENSATION!!!111oneone".

I skilled up in nothing but knifing skills and scout dropsuit and now I'm behind on everything else. I was born in 1984 but there are others that were born earlier than me and thus they will always be older than me no matter how much older I get. I trained up industry skills in Eve Online and almost nothing else and now I'm behind on combat.

Anyways, the above posters are right. You need to work more with your friends if you want your tank to survive. Also, why the **** are you using missiles to take out infantry? Blasters are the law of the land if you want to take out infantry. They are more direct to hit with. I never driven a tank, but I have seen more than enough to know what missiles are not all that great against mercs who don't stay in one spot for more than a second. However, missiles are just fine for dealing with the blueberries who decide to perch themselves in one spot so that the enemy tank can destroy them (natural selection?). |

If this is for CCP I would think that the feedback section would be better for it. Personally, I'm a fan of tweaking rather than out right nerfhammering things.
So what's the deal? Do large missile tanks now have a huge spread? Have you used the turret against other tanks? If so, what has been the impact there?

I'm not here to be a part of this drama debacle, but you posted this willingly in the public section. Whether you care or not after that is irrelevant, Teddy. You posted this here, and now you have to deal with the consequences of said actions. You say you do not care, but if you are going to attempt to repeat yourself, by stating it over and over again, I believe you care enough to attempt at lying to yourself. I think you do care, but you were not expecting such backlash. Nonetheless this whole thread is one huge debacle. Better left to die if you ask me. So you are mad about CCP rebalancing some issues that needed addressing. Congratulations. If you wanted to take this up with CCP though try e-mail. Works a whole lot better if you ask me. You also avoid getting ripped a new arse hole by the community.
My opinion on the matter. I'm glad we are seeing tweeks, and rebalances in-game. About time if you ask me. That said I'm done. This thread is lame, and lamer still by the griefing of the original poster. |
