Grenades only come in 2s and 3s and not infinite unless you on a hive which makes you stationary.., therefore that comment is ****. I don't hear anyone crying about OP rifles anymore, stop pretending it's an issue, and those who used OP rifles are doing fine without. They took my favorite proto rifle away ages ago because people cried about it, I'm not crying about it.. i'm blappin fools with a gek instead now. Stop crying and bitching about what we ALL know was going to come with missiles.. even most tankers and ds pilots themselves admitted missiles were OP and were smart enough to train other turrets up while still using OP missiles.. whats that thing you guys like to say to us when we said missile OP.. hrmm it's coming to me.. one sec, almost there.. tip of the fingers.. oh yeh that's right ! 1) its a beta..... you re gonna lose all your skills. So what s the big deal ? 2) missiles needed z nerf. It was obviiys. Blasters and rails were useless. 3) now. Havs should get a buff in HP 4) SL should have be fixed in how they re used. Requiring skills. 5) prevous AV boost in range for sl and forge need to go. 6) heavies need to finally get their very low turn speed and HP buff

Problem with missile nerf? Yes.
It's pretty obvious why there's a problem, too.
Triple-tiered nerfs are a REALLY bad idea. Cutting range? Great. That's the main problem they had. Cutting damage? Alright, they're still getting a bonus against armour, so that's not a huge problem. Cutting splash radius? Wouldn't be so bad if that's ALL they did. But with the whole lot, it's too much. Bump splash radius back up - AT LEAST 4m, preferably back to 5. The other nerfs can stay, imo.
I'm a novice tank driver and experienced AV guy, and when the safest place for a Swarm Launcher Assault is standing out in the open with the tank aiming right at you from less than 100m away, there's something VERY wrong with how tanks work.
And for the record, I've unloaded 5 volleys of missiles into an Assault who didn't even bother to move, and produced a grand total of 0 damage today. He eventually got kills by a sniper instead, and I got - you guessed it - NOTHING. No WP for the Assist, because I NEVER HIT HIM AT PRACTICALLY POINT-BLANK RANGE WITH AN ELEVATION ADVANTAGE. |

Sure the missiles were OP. Dropping the DPS is fine but, they can't hit a direct target unless point blank now. The accuracy is shot to hell. They aren't nerfed, they are ruined. A blaster is more accurate over moderate distance now. The missiles fly off in every direction but at what is being aimed at, every single shot. It's not random, it's every time the turret is fired. To get half a chance to hit a target, you have to fire near it instead of aiming at it. I tried shooting at a railgun installation and fired over 25 times and didn't hit it one single time.
Those of you reveling in the missile nerf like pigs in mud don't realize how bad they screwed em up. Virtually worthless. |

actually missiles were always better than the other turrets so ya it was still OP idiot tankers still slapped on missiles on lolshieldtanks and charged right into a team of enemies and spammed ****
of the 3 turrets missiles always required the least skill....just spam a general area and ud get the kill
both other turrets can overheat, missiles dont laser and autocannon turrets will overheat when added if their infantry counterparts are anything to go by, so why special treatment for missiles?
boohoohoo u spent SP into something and its not good guess what ive spent SP into armor tanks past 2 builds and shield tanks have always been better ya im not happy about that but i give feedback and solutions on how to fix it not make a QQ thread, so instead of QQing make a proper feedback thread on ur thoughts with missiles and how to fix it .............and no dont just say take it back to ezmode think of an actual fix. |

I meant 'unit' in the RTS sense. Meaning a single guy.
Yeah, one guy with an RPG popping in and out of a building could give a tank a really bad time if said tank doesn't get backup. All the guy has to do is pop out of an alley, fire at the thing, and run back behind a building and there's nothing the tank crew can do to stop him from doing it again unless the tank captain feels like mowing down a bunch of civies.
The same thing happens in DUST. Pop out of cover, fire, retreat and use infantry's better mobility to find a new angle. Just have a couple dudes with ARs or something following your tank around and you'll be fine.
As to the missile bit, yeah, a single missile would ruin your day hardcore. The problem is being able to hit the dude that can run faster than your turret can turn. |

You HAV guys have spent months telling the rest of us "learn to use cover", "learn to use teamwork", "adapt or die", and my favorite "learn to play, noob" any time someone complained about the vehicle missiles.
Well, now the shoe's on the other foot - while most of the vehicle guys have been forcing the AV troopers and infantry to improve their game or die, they have let their skills atrophy by relying on spamming an "I win" button.
I'm quite sure I'll see Noc, and a few other high end HAV drivers adapt, find new tactics and return to their place as the major threats on the battlefield, this time without the aid of a broken OP weapon.
I'm looking forward to seeing how the pilots adapt, and their forcing me to adapt my current misile dodgng based AV tactics. |

quit complaining and use what is available for the job at hand instead of using a turret that is meant for AoE cwutididthere?
this is a beta tellin someone who chose to use armor (i chose to use it as well) to not beta test it and just skill into w/e is the flavour of the month (alot of that goes on here with ppl tryharding so much) is dumb because without feedback CCP would never get the balance right between armor and shields. U think all armor needs is some hardeners and itll be on par with shield tanks? lol
And fyi the missile turret is an AoE weapon with a slight tweak on spread itll be fine for the job it was meant to do....check tyborg's thread for some actual feedback from a missile tanker and not just QQ
want to **** infantry? sorry wont be able to one shot them like before and it would require some aiming and using blasters now probably |
