I'm talking about spawn points. Why not just drop from the sky, like in trailer?
pros: cool now we know why it's called dropsuit more realistic than just magicaly spawning out of nowere more dificult to spawn camp cool you can shoot while in the air?
cons: you can't spawn in the building

What do you think?
1. Maybe for the first few times.
2. I drop from the MCC all the time, I already know why it's called a dropsuit.
3. Also more time consuming and takes longer to get back to the action. I'm not overly concerned about reality in a game where you can transfer consciousness an indefinite number of times without any consequence.
4. I find the second and a half where your guy has landed but is sort of getting his bearings and raising his gun is just as bad if not worse than the time it takes to move immediately after spawning on the ground.
5. Even if you could, which I'm pretty sure you can't, most of the weapons would be useless due to their range limit, not to mention the accuracy factor. I already have a hard enough time firing precisely at targets when we're both on the ground. |

I would like a spawn system where it would launch you randomly towards a location similar to the game Section 8.
Starhawk did it too, so why not DUST? |

Consciousness transfer has drawbacks, they are mentioned in background. Just no in game effect.
We shouldn't always fall from the sky, some game modes where this happens would be good.
The droplinks are meant to be beacons for worm holes to open on.
We can also drop from dropships, if they are used as transports. |

have a drop suit fitting that is seperate from the normal mods that allow for a drop pod to be shot balistically from the MCC or spess.
each suit has the basic one that just lands on a zone at a really fast speed but you can upgrade it to allow it to cause damage when you land on peeps or give better controll on where you are going to land.
drop uplinks give a general idea to the drop pod on where to land and the MCC fires them out.
might be cool |

Also agreed that Drop Uplinks should remain as "teleport" effect as they are, but regular spawns should let you drop in. |

what da?!^ Na, the only times we drop are when we jump out of the MCC or a drop ship. Our suits aren't ment to protect us form entering the atmosphere See 1:29 and 1:35. Ships in orbit don't provide troops, they provide fire support. |

I still think spawning needs a major rework. I like the spawn mechanism Section 8 has and I hope Dust gets something similar. I dislike the CRU spawning but really dislike spawning on objectives. Doesn't make sense at all. |

I'd rather have an animation instead of blackscreen when spawning into a objective/clone vat that is meant to release the clone not have it teleported into the match...
ohh did I mention blackscreen while on battlefield and die before fully loaded in? that's awesome fun feature for sure. |

3.Not true. The respawn time could be reduced to 6 seconds. 4 seconds of falling. |

Rugman91 wrote:DarkShadowFox wrote:if you read the fiction you would realize that were all nanites. We're all nanites? Plz explain this The clones that DUST mercenaries inhabit are very reliant on nano-technology. Nanites in the clone's bloodstream treat injuries almost immediately, knitting flesh or tendons together should the soldier suffer lacerations and clotting blood at accelerated rates to prevent bleeding out.
They also keep the clone from shutting down on itself. After a sufficient amount of nanites are lost, the clone dies.
If you wanted an example from gameplay, you could think of your armor rating as a nanite fuel-gauge. When you run out of nanites, you die; which is why nanite injectors are able to revive your clone, they're pumping more repair-bots into your bloodstream. |

Its been suggested before but having a controllable decent would be epic cause you could use the ten seconds of your spawn as your fall time then You could conceivable guide your direction to where ever you wanted and could get back to your squad mates quickly.
The limit would be a dropped marker either by the commander in the mcc or by a player on the ground giving you a certain size circle area that you could glide in to.
Imagine seeing a squad of 16+ enemies gliding down at once with hot dropped vehicles and turrets (these cost extra to deploy) now that would be an epic entrance to a match.
You look over at your squad mates and say o sh.t I think someone wants our planet. |

What do you think? Don't we spawn and "drop" out of the MCC when playing a skirmish match or is this just some trolling? |

I'm pretty sure I see this too, and when you spawn you sort of make a thumping noise when your feet hit the ground like you were being "dropped" down. |

Get rid of the spawn timer and use that time for dropping from the sky!
Although spawning underneath anything would be impossible, so maybe not. |

CRUs are a source for clones, so spawning on the ground is good.
Drop Uplinks are wormhole tech, so teleporting in is good.
Objectives and "default" spawn points are where you should drop in by actually dropping. |
