CCP i would advise to monitor all incoming and outcoming data from all players. Because you can actually win something. You never know if some 1 could pull off a DOS attack. Not calling names or corps but there are rumors out there. Simply saying making people to lag out/disconnect from tourny matches. |

If so, I hope you reported it to CCP, in addition to posting here. This type of behavior is... let's just say bad and leave it at that. |

Nope not doing that. If he dares it to do it in the tourny then he gets exposed all together with his corp. |

So it either ROFL, Zion TCD, Imperfects, or Seraphim Initiative a.k.a Cyber Police who are no good cheating scum.

~_~ I know everyone wants to win the tournament, but DoS over one likely negligible blueprint, a t-shirt and a mousepad are not really worth that for any sensible person.
If you know something is up, you should immediately inform CCP with whatever actual conclusive data [if any] you have to support it. Throwing it around in the forum won't really help anything other than to incite speculation, suspicion and drama, but telling CCP if there's a credible problem is just common sense.
Keep this tournament clean. |

There are 2 things going on here and I have to ask....
1) How can he/they who are not CCP employee's "nail down" a DoS attack as while being an external source to the attack? (I don't have my CISSP so please educate me (the forums).
2) Is this a trolling attempt to pull the conspiracy theorists out prior to a win as a "ace in the hole" .
It's no different than saying one party is doing such and such to taint the election prior to any election or proof of it happening, so when the election is lost by one party they can cry foul and say, "SEE WE TOLD YOU! We lost because of cheating, not because our party sucks kittens!" Or tainting a jury with a question/statement and then having it "stricken from the record" when you've already planted a seed in their minds.
I honestly find it hard to believe that CCP (who's been running EVE servers now for 10 years) does not have the IDP in place to identify a DoS during actual game play.
I mean come on guys...they're running this tournament for testing purposes...you really think they don't have all hands on deck when these games are running to monitor all systems and then looking back at the data to further analyze it?

Keep this tournament clean. this Nevermind the tournament, the whole game should be kept clean. I saw a comment about 'time and place TBC' and somebody mentioned DoS in the same thread, then 'something else' happened afterwards that would prevent a certain player playing due to 'issues', couple this with the 'unexpected downtime/server issue' on Saturday and BINGO! you got your culprit right there. You would have to be stupid not to see it. Thread after thread locked. Wonder who? |

If it is happening and someone does not report it who knows, I'm of the opinion that person is also guilty for withholding the information. Doing it this way so you can get others banned that might have no knowledge is just as malicious in my mind. |

Guys we ALL should have known there were going to be disconnections, and that they were somehow going to have an effect.
I DOUBT very much that anyone actually manipulated that into their favor.
My guys suffered a series of disconnections on our second match the first Saturday of the tournament, but were not crying about it. It could have happened to either of our teams. Fact is, if we did what we did for the first battle *(restarting all of our ps3's to mitigate disconnects), we may have done better in the second battle. BUT I highly doubt it would have been a game changer anyways.
PRESENT FACTS PLEASE, because implicating people (anyone), for something trivial, is not only unfair, but poor sportsmanship. |

Not sure if they can actually detect it. From my experience running gamebattles tournaments it was hard to prove. Numerous times people complained of being IP flooded but not much we could do about it. The other thing is iirc ip flooding wouldn't go through the game at all as it would only effect the person they are targeting (ISP), and even then they could get the wrong person unless they somehow got that person's IP beforehand. The targeted person could also report this "info" to CCP, lag out on purpose on game day to try and get the other team forfeited. So many variables in this so I dunno either way. |

LMFAO!!!-+-í-+Paranoid much?!?
I mean seriously who does this for a beta tourney?
But going off of his statements, he thinks it might be someone in Zion. Why would anybody state this before a match unless they think it's their next opponent. But seriously you shouldn't go start accussing anybody without showing proof.
Hey I have been DC, failed logins multiply times in a row, and 1 frame per second in/before the tourney battles. But I'm not going to go on a witch hunt and start accussing our opponents of trying to cheat. I blame CCP as everybody is having the same problems. |

By the way, DoS attacks are vicious against consumer level protections, but are easily defeatable by enterpris solutions. What OP is talking about would have to happen on CCP's servers. I doubt there is any credence to this. I speak from experience as a technical lead for one of the world's leading enterprise firewall companies. |
