Humor is in the eye of beholder, and what Regnum did was beyond normal decency. We know he was trolling; it was the fact that SOMEONE'S LIFE IS IN DANGER that he made fun that pissed everyone off. What if someone you loved was in danger of dying? What would you think then if Regnum turned it into a joke? I have lost all respect for any player that thinks making fun of someone whose family member might die is a laughing matter. This was my first comment on the subject. In fact it is the first time I have ever said anything about his posts. Trolling to get a rise is one thing. Normally I ignore them. But what kind of man would I be if I didn't comment on a joke meant to make fun of a woman and a baby in a life threatening situation? And if you defend his behavior you are no better.

Just wanted to point out that this is a forum and there is nothing here but a bunch of letters on the screen, there is no "how someone said something" only how you imagined they said it. I looked through Quick's thread and found nothing truly disrespectful. If Regnum out right insulted Quick then I would consider this thread justified, but that's not the case.

I don't really like QG, I find him to be childish and annoying most of the time and many of his forum posts to be unnecessary, but nevertheless I hope everything works out for him and his family. In terms of trolling -vs- crossing the line, it's all very subjective, at the end of the day let's just remember this is a game, and while this is a community, not all of us are 'buddies' or 'friends' -- that being said, nobody should be taking anything harsh personally.

This thread as it stands is wholly unnecessary, the Imperfects can handle their own personnel if they feel the need to, CCP can handle threads that go too far, other corps can worry about their own people.

First of all, I never said to kick him. All I said was what I would've done if it were one of my corpmates. It doesn't matter to me what you guys do or don't do. I was just simply saying that it may leave a bad impression on your corp just as if one guy cheated or boosted. Also, I don't know Regnum at all so why would I have anything against him?

I could care less about trolling but this was different. Do you know what an ectopic pregnancy is?? That means the pregnancy must be terminated and now the mother has to undergo surgery (which is risky) to do so. That's one lost life and potential complications for another. That's serious kitten business. You don't joke around on that, not even mistakenly. QG was obviously looking for support and Regnum was essentially telling him to shut up and take that elsewhere.

He did it for laughs and not cause he give a kitten about any rules. I understand your desire to defend a fellow corpmate, but a better judgment would be to just apologize on his behalf. Vile Rat remarks were removed by CCP as they were in similar poor taste. Diplomacy is a large part of the metagame. Unless you plan on spending all your time in public matches against randoms, the quality of PR you have with the corps, alliances, and coalitions you are here to take contracts from is going to be a matter of survival.

2 Quick Gloves was vehemusly pissed off the last two weeks mostly because STB wasn't in the tournament.

3 Quick Gloves is one of those sorts of people who seemingly would resort of physical violence when enraged, he makes this quite evident in his taunts and fight picking.

4. All of a sudden miscarriage...

Where I used to work this would have resulted in an arrest and then investigation all because what could have happened usually has happen.

He also lacked foresight that posting RL drama lama stuff on the internet outside social circles (or even in social circles) is typically an extremely bad idea and causes far more grief than most people would ever bargain for.

In the end if it is a 'brilliant' PR attempt of a troll is backfiring pretty badly but most of us are a bit of afraid to talk about it becuase of possible bans.

I have my own RL issues going on right now but you don't see me exactly sharing it with you guys, because I know a hell lot better than that.
